Adding a 3rd AC To a 2022 3231CK

Hello all. I have a 2022 3231CK and want to add a 3rd A/C to kitchen where the extra fan is (I assume the AC would go where the more centered fan is?) I would install a Chill Cube.

I read that fan space is "PREWIRED"...what exactly does that mean? When I remove the fan will I see a 120V outlet or wiring?

Yes. There should be a little plate by the center fan with a sticker explaining this. If not, you will find the yellow Romex wire in the space where you remove the fan. Mine has its own circuit breaker from the factory. Just turn it off and use your meter to double check. It's nice. I can run all three AC units at the same time. 104 outside, 68 inside.

Thanks, did you also go with the Chill Cube? Trying to both cool the RV (the factory Coleman’s don’t cut it when over 100 outside) as well as minimize power draw when boondocking. The Chill Cube seems to be the answer, I am guessing would really be my primary unit. Only concern about kitchen location in the 3231 is the Cube only blows forward, so would hit range hood rather than dump I. Living area, really wish it dumped front/back. Hopefully if the door is kept fully open the air will dump straight down.

I also have a 2022 3231. I added a Rec Pro 15k with soft start. It also has a heater. It blows ice cold and puts off a lot of heat. Very happy with it and I can run all three on 50 amp

Anyone ever think of putting a 12v a/c in? Run it to a dedicated LiFePo4 battery? Emergency backup if the power goes out, to keep the pooch alive if you happen to be out when the power outage happens?

A 12 unit would pull close to 100 amps and require very heavy wiring. It would also require a sizable battery bank. With the right inverter and battery bank you can run the current 120V air.

Hi thanks for posting this, I have the same year and model and am about to embark on adding the 3rd A/C ... did you go with chill cube? Any regrets? how'd the installation go? Any and all tips would be SUPER appreciated!! thanks!

Hi Tony, yes I added a chill cube and so far it works great, a LOT more cold air than the Coleman’s. I don’t use the swing feature since unit faces wrong way for middle coach mount, I just stop the swing door in fully open position. I would definitely do, and heard a rumor that the Cube might now also be available with a heating feature? Of course they would come out with that as soon as I bought one, I would have loved a super efficient heat pump.
