The wife slammed the entry door on the camper and a crash occurred. Our "piggy bank" crashed to the floor and all that change flew everywhere. Yes, it all got picked up and now in zip lock bags. We're looking for another "piggy bank" now so change can be dropped in.
We started saving our change years ago, especially quarters, so we could use them at the laundry mat. It worked out very well. We always had ample quarters. When we got our Montana High Country, we eventually installed our own washing machine and dryer and really did not have a need for all that change any more. But, we still had our "piggy bank".
Actually, our "piggy bank" was a ceramic tear drop camper bank and we really enjoyed having it handy to dump out the change.
Sometimes, we collect all our change and give it to our grandson, especially when home. But when traveling, it went into the kitty.
Well, it's probably been at least a couple or 3 years since emptying it in the camper. But since it was all over the floor, I also decided to count it. Here's the results:
Quarters: $98.00 (392 coins)
Dimes; $50.40 (504 coins)
Pennies: $9.65 (965 coins)
Nicles: $13.75 (275 coins)
Total: $170.80 (2136 coins)
How much did all this weigh? 6.6 pounds.
Small change adds up?
