6 point Level Up System

Our Montana is in use all year. It is set up for six months during the winter in Florida and it never lost the level. It is beside the S&B during the summer and sits for various amounts of time and has never lost the level. We do wipe clean and lube the struts so they do not collect dirt and dust same with the slides. I see it as a personal choice in terms of jacks up or down when in storage or not in use. It is just easier for me to push a button.

Has anyone had the Lippert 6 point leveling system installed at Quartsite at RV Lifestyles, 1795 Dome Rock Rd., Quartzsite, AZ 85359 (928) 927-8222 ?
If so, please comment on your install experience. Thanks!

I have a question for the experts too...

When I want to reconnect, I press the left and right buttons at the same time, the system says "feature disabled" press enter to confirm.

So I have to adjust height manual to be able to hook up. Am I doing something wrong or is there something up with my system?

Thanks

When I see that happen on mine the front has to come down to return to hookup position. If the front needs to go up, it works fine.

Now that I think that is logical. With the rear jacks down it can not lower to reach hook up position.

Thanks,

Jay

There is a note in the manual that basically states that if the front of the RV is lower than level, then the auto re-hook positioning will not work. If it is above level, it will work. I do not try to figure it out. I use the auto level when arriving and use manual retract of the rear and then lower the front to the pin box upon leaving. Much easier and a consistent way of doing it.

It all starts with the unhooking of the 5th wheel/You lower the front jacks till you are clear of the hitch and tailgate. Move the truck forward then hit auto level. If you lower the front jacks in manual mode it will not remember where it was when you hit the left and right buttons and you will get a error msg..

I don't understand why you manually retract the rear jacks before lowering (or even raising) the front to hook up. I just lower (or raise) the front jacks and the system adjusts the rears automatically. Then once you are hooked up, I use the "Retract All" function to raise all of the jacks at once.

Carl, I manually lower the rear and then adjust the front to hook up because sometimes me and my truck hits the kingpin a little hard and I only want the front jacks to absorb the impact, not all six jacks. We are getting better at it, but sometimes when the truck is on a slight slope, it is hard to go very gentle.
