Our unit has three a/c units Coleman Mach 15 units, the front and rear are ducted and use the 12" square filter. The middle unit is also Coleman Mach but vents to the front and rear, non ducted. All three needed improvement. We first ordered the Kool RV vent adapter to install, and ended up using both a Kool RV vent adapter and a RV Airflow Systems adapter.

- Rear AC Unit: We installed the KoolRV adapter on the rear unit first. No problems. All is good there. Improved the air flow through the ducts.

- Middle AC Unit: We discovered when taking the inside plenum cover off the middle unit that the plastic vent duct coming down through the roof was never cut and taped to allow air flow. No wonder there was no air flow, none. We cut the plastic/vinyl duct coming from the top of the unit and foil taped it inside the housing. Now plenty of flow until... we put the cover back on. This ac unit butts directly up against a boxed light fixture on one side so we only had air flow really coming out one side of the vent cover instead of two. This is over the kitchen area and it didn't really cool anything. We removed the cover again, bought two round vent outlets (Amazon.com), used a hole saw to cut holes in the interior ac cover, installed the two new round vent outlets and - AIR! Now plenty of air flow. Why would Keystone do that? Don't know, but we fixed it.

- Front AC Unit: We attempted to install the KoolRV vent adapter in the front Coleman Mach 15 unit. It fit, until it didn't. When we attempted to replace the covers filter shroud and cover back on, the adapter was too large and stuck too far down preventing us from reinstalling the OEM filter shroud and cover. We made a cardboard adapter covered in foil tape to use temporarily. We then reach out to RV AIRFLOW SYSTEMS (www.rvairflow.com). Since we had a depth problem with the KoolRV we ordered the shallow plenum unit from RV Airflow Sys. Based on model, year and make, they know I ordered the wrong one. So they sent me the correct unit as well for the Coleman Mach 15. We removed the KoolRV adapter and installed the RV Airflow Sys unit. It was a perfect fit, very easy to install. I thought that having to remove the four main screws to the unit would be a problem but not so. Very easy to install the styrofoam RV Airflow System unit and reinstall all OEM filter shroud and cover.

End upgrade result: Now that the have one of each manufacturers units (KooRV and RV Airflow Systems) we can make a comparison, although that was not our intent. Both improve the air flow. We can't say which is better because there are a different number of vents on each unit that air has to blow through, and both had noticeable airflow improvement. I think that the front bedroom unit is quieter with the RV Airflow unit than the rear living room unit with the KoolRV adapter. There is definitely a cost difference between the two units. The RV Airflow is a bit more expensive, but honestly, we prefer the RV Airflow. It's a difference you will never see, but you will know is there. We forgot to take a phot but will add later.
