3402RL

Jim there are many of us that have the 3402RL, mine is a 2012 and I like the floor plan the best of all the models. Have had some major issues, some resolved by Keystone, some I resolved myself because of lack of trust with the dealer but after about 8000 miles and a few months of everyday living we are reasonably happy with it.

We have the six point level up and love it, also slide toppers which we also would not be without. We won't be trading up to a new one, this will be our last Trailer.

If you like the floor plan then you will be happy with the unit I am sure.

Also welcome to the forum, seems you are new and also a fairly close neighbor, just across a bit of water.

I have a 2012 3402rl as well but unlike my buddy ED before me(BUMMER PAL!)[V] I have had only one small problem (broken toilet pedal)and a great dealer Tacoma RV in Fife not to far away from you, we LOVE the floor plan like Ed said, Massive storage space inside, a nice office/desk,sink and vanity in bathroom AND bedroom(NICE),We are Fulltimers and this floorplan has worked great for us,We are very happy with the 3402rl it has held up very well, also the new 3402rl's are even better with bigger bedroom closet, bigger TV in the living room but they took away the file drawer cabinets at the desk to do that

We just got ours a couple of weeks ago. We stayed at Lazydays campground for a week to try it out. Compared to our old 2004 Montana 2955rl, this one makes us feel right at home. The only issue we had was the toilet would lose water while sitting for an 1/2 hour. I found the ball valve was not closing all the way. I took the toilet apart and shaved down and removed some of the plastic housing where the level contacts the stop. I only needed to shave off enough plastic to get the ball valve to close another 1/32 of an inch. Have not lost any water since the fix, even after a week of sitting untouched.

Enjoy your new 3402, we are!

We have the 2013 3402 Big Sky. Had the 06 3400 before that both have similar floor plans. The floor plan is very functional.
Several minor problems. Defective valve stems, wall panels pulling loose, Fridge failed, Pedal came off John, Wiring pulled out of the 50 amp cord, Now leaking gray holding tank. Other than that perfect.

Anyone out there have the 3402RL and if so how do you like it?

Thanks in advance

Jim

Don't have the 3402 but just a warning on Tacoma RV. Twice I have had them do warranty and non-warranty work only to find they did nothing. When I approached them about it I was walked away on once and ignored the second time. And no, I wasn't rude.

I filled a BBB claim and as I figured, no response. Good luck on picking a model and do as much research on dealers as well.

That's a bummer Bigsky3625re I know 4 people that have bought Montana's from them and they all say the same thing Great dealership and if you look up anywhere for reviews on them they get high ratings hopefully your experience was a isolated case, when my Toilet lever broke they could of not been nicer or quicker fixing the problem,Ladonna the Owner and the whole gang at Tacoma RV have been thumbs up for us[8D]

We've had almost all the same problems as everyone else, loose panels on cabinetry, broken toilet pedal, also broken black tank valve & failed bedroom A/C, both of these taken care of while under warranty. Only problem now is a leak from front window on curb side slide, still trying to narrow it down. Of course, normal tire issues, but will solve that problem in the near future. If you do one thing, get the 14 ply rated tires, Goodyear, Sailun, or whatever, you won't regret it. We have been full time over a year now with ours, and this has been an excellent trailer for us, floor plan, storage, etc. Hopefully, you will be happy with one.

We will be picking up our new 2014 3402RL in a few weeks hopefully. Based on the discussion of early problems, are there items I should really check on during my PDI??? We've already added a few extras the dealer is going to do. G-rated tire upgrade, Slider awnings, Stackable Washer/dryer with drip pan. We are getting it from Tiara RV in Elkhart, IN. Seems to be a good dealership.

That is the only thing I screwed up on was not getting GY614's when I got mine now I'm saving up for them for piece of mind

Although I had absolutely no problems with the Marathons in 10,000 miles I now have G614's and do have more peace of mind with them and the TST567RV monitoring system.

There are some other minor modifications you may decide to do with the 3402RL at some point to add to your convenience and comfort, you will see some pop up from time to time here on this forum.

While it is not unique to the Dodge, I am very disappointed in the fuel economy on my 2012, my 2001 with a aftermarket chip gave me 21 - 22 MPG empty and a consistent 12 towing, the new one struggles to provide 13 - 15 empty and 9 - 12 towing. If it were not for warranty issues I would be rid of all the pollution control crap.

That is a great color on your new TV by the way, don't park beside me we might have trouble deciding who is whom....

Ed, I too struggle with mileage, and my EPA stuff fell off miles ago and my 4:10's don't help either.
