We returned to our trailer after it having been stored over the winter in Montana. Everything looked OK from the outside except the living room DS hydraulic slide was out about 3 inches. We don't see any damage or moisture inside the trailer so this could've happened during spring time weather cycles - I guessing. Up untill now, the hydraulic system has been working fine.
The batteries were reconnected and charged overnight using the on board converter with the master switch in the ON position. The trailer was plugged in to a 50 amp power supply with the converter breaker in the on position. The next day the slide came in and we thought that was the problem; the batteries needed charging.
The RV sat unattended for three days closed up like it was for winter with the batteries charging, but then we discovered the slide was back out. And the inverter was running all winter using the solar to power up the refrigerator (with the doors open). I'm thinking this could run down the batteries once the solar panel is covered with snow.
With the RV connected to power and the INCommand system fired up, it shows 13.7 V on the readout screen for the battery. Does that mean the battery is actually fully charged or is it showing the output voltage of the converter?
If the 13.7V read out represents the actual battery charge then I'm thinking the problem may lie in the hydraulic system somewhere but I don't know where to look or what to try next. It's acting like low-voltage on the batteries because when we tried to cycle the slide by running it all the way out and bringing it back in it wouldn't go out very far. But then it did come back in. What next?
