2022 HC 377FL strange water leak

I have a water leak and I can’t find the source. I find water underneath the steps leading to the FL area and under the cabinets that are directly behind the two recliners. There are no water lines running anywhere near this area and there is no water coming from the washer dryer, sink, shower, hot water heater or where the water comes into the camper. I’m truly dumbfounded and was curious if anyone else may have this issue?

I’ve had a mechanic who has been in business for 30 years say he’s lost and can’t understand where the water is coming from. My only thought is that it possibly an air condition line that may be leaking in the wall??

Any assistance, thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

My vote is the air conditioner. Time to get on the roof and remove the cover. Make sure the drain line is clear and the condensation is making it's way to the rain channel. Also make sure the channel is secure and sealed. If there's a way water will find it's way in.

I have the FL375 model, which is the fore runner of the FL377, same floor plan but no loft over the rear bedroom.

Question? Is your air conditioner running when the water appears?

If so, it's condensation from the air ducts in the ceiling.

I'm in Louisiana right now. The humidity has been unbelievable for weeks now and our air conditioners (both of them) are running full throttle. When the humidity hits certain levels, the round AC vents on the ceiling begin dripping, like someone turned on a garden hose! One drips right over the bed, so we keep a towel there, and the other drips over the love seat size recliner beside the steps going up to the upper living room. (And that's the spot I like to sit at.)

It's possible the condensation is leaking down the walls across the floor leaving a puddle.

It's also possible your ceiling AC vents are dripping also, not going down the wall. Sometimes, my entire ceiling is wet with condensation when the AC's are running. This experience has only happened to us in Louisiana and only this year. And it doesn't do it all the time. So, I'm positive its condensation, especially when the ceiling has water hanging from it.

Now, if you have not been running your air conditioner, then there is still a mystery to solve.

Your furnace uses outside air for combustion and does produce condensate. Very basically, condensate is formed when cold and hot air meet. The greater the temperature difference between outdoor air and indoor air is, the more condensate. Residential furnaces have a drain system for condensate, RVs try to evaporate it back out and blow it out the exhaust in the form of water vapor, or humidity.

It might be worth removing the slotted risers on the stairs which serve as a return air path for your furnace and looking inside. I doubt you can see much and it's way too small to stick your head in, but might be able to stick your phone in there and make some pics. Look to see if the condensate is forming in the return plenum or maybe forming on the furnace housing. In either case, I would suspect you're leaking some outdoor air into the cavity containing the furnace and/or the return air plenum. Additionally, look at the outer cover on the furnace, make sure the sealant is in good condition around the cover. The only place outdoor air should be allowed to enter is the vents in the cover.

So I figured out my problem. The water pump is located between cabinets and storage area. We took the walls out of the storage area and see the water pump is intermittently dripping. Not at the connections but at the top end. It appears that the gasket went bad. Have a video and pic just dont no how to share

Pic of water pump. I circled where the red top meets the black tip. There is a seal there that intermittently was leaking. The black arrow is pointing towards the cabinets where the water would seep through and be in the bottom of the cabinet. Once you take everything out of your storage and remove your storage walls, you’ll have access behind your water bay. The water pump sits right there. I would turn on the water out also try to run water through the water pump and I would feel around the bottom of the water pump for any leaks.

Recommend you replace the pump vs trying to repair it. They are relatively inexpensive.
