Solar was working fine when we left home. Got to our destination to find no power on solar circuits. I have checked switches in front compartment and all are on. Inverter is a csw2012-x. Also have cycled switches in compartment, battery, main. Won’t be needing it fixed for 2 months, but would like to know what to look for.

Welcome to the MOC. I have the same unit. Mines been upgraded to 720 watts and 200 AH's of lithium using the same inverter.

  • First off, they're not solar outlets. They are inverted outlets, meaning that the inverter converts 12 volts to 120 volts off you batteries. All the solar does is provide a solar charge to the batteries while not plugged into shower power.
  • Do you have a remote panel for the inverter? Make sure it's working. It should show battery voltage and be in invert mode. Orange light. Green light when in bypass mode (plugged into shore power).
  • There is a inverter battery bypass switch in the battery bay. Make sure it's on.
The factory programming on the inverter disables the power button on the inverter remote. Which is fine, it just mean your inverter is always on. I changed my programming so that the button functions so I can turn off the inverter at night. These units have a tendency to change programing to inverter disable. Not sure what causes it but possibly low power/battery.
I've attached some pictures and instructions.
Let me know what switch you have and what it's displaying.

I cycled both switches in the battery compartment. Inside the remote panel reads 13.5 volts with a green light. Waiting for it to quit raining so I can access the shunt and the smart solar. Need to be outside for bluetooth to work.

Your remote has 2 leds. The top led will be either off, green or orange. Need to know what color it is. It's not the solar thats preventing power to the inverted outlets.

2 left leds are Green
Can’t find the cutoff switch you show in picture.

The green light indicates it's on shore power and passing AC to the inverted outlets. Next check is the GFI on the kitchen island and the basement. Also check the inverter breaker in the breaker box

The gfci on island is good,we have coffee pot plugged into it. BASEMENT GFCI is good, used it yesterday for grill. Reset breaker, was one of the first things I checked when I reset everything. The only thing I haven’t been able to do was change the the inverter settings, won’t let me, set on ps0.

You don't want PS0. You want factory PS1 or PS4. If the basement outlet is working then the inverter is working. It's an inverted outlets. The coffee bar shouldn't be inverted. Does it have a yellow sticker on it? Exactly what sockets don't work.

Tried to change from PS0 to one of the other ones, but it won’t let me. Skips right to AL1.

When not plugged in to shore power none of the yellow stickered outlets work. Refrigerator, ones on either side of stove, and one in island.

That's your problem. PS0 is disabled. As stated in my first post. This happens when battery gets low. You simply have to follow the instructions I provided and set it to PS1 or PS4. It can be tricky. Follow the highlighted instructions and you'll be able to do it.

Thanks for your help! Had to shut off shore power so I could change settings.
How could it change on trip of 900 miles?

I really don't have an answer for you on the cause of the unit changing programming to PS0. It's happened to me twice. Both times when picking up from the dealership. I had to assume they allowed the batteries to drain. It hasn't happened since I upgraded to lithium batteries.

I have the factory installed batteries and you would think that it would charge on trip hooked to truck. Trip down here was sunny most of the way. Drove about 4 hours in the evening.

3 year old batteries. Mine didn't make 2 years. Lead acid batteries will charge off the truck and the solar but depending on the condition of the batteries, they may not.

Just looked at the batteries, they are interstate rv/marine deep cycle. Guess it’ll be time for batteries when I get back home.

Getting prices for lithium batteries, not cheap! You would think that the money you spend for a trailer that they would come with lithium batteries installed.

On our 2023, the outlet in the pass through has got me before too so that’s something to keep in mind in the future. Ours isn’t labeled as being inverted but it is. The gfi on it had tripped and none of the others worked
