Hi all!

Has anyone replaced the fan in the kitchen with an a/c unit? I bought a Furrion a/c unit, an air handler and a thermostat. The fan runs on 110 and there are wires run from the fan to the fan control unit on the wall.

Is this as simple as I envision?

Any words of wisdom are welcome and appreciated.

V/r,

John

I have a 2024 which the fan was pre wired for an AC. I purchased the same
Brand/model as my other 2 AC’s and it was a simple conversion other than after tracing wires I found I needed the thermostat also.

Good evening all!

OK, so I have physically installed the Furrion where the kitchen fan was. Now, I'm trying to find the control wiring. When I removed the MAXX AIR fan switch, I did not see a free cable with 18 gauge wires for the thermostat connection. I did see an RJ-11 connection that had power. See picture. What is this cable used for? The second picture is the control box wiring.

Yes. I still need to make a vent from the cold air discharge to a mounting plate. With no vent and the ceiling cover installed, the air flow is weak. Attached are wiring pictures and the thermostat mounted. I bought a KoolRV vent adapter that I will try to modify for my application - I don’t vents for the kitchen (fan, originally).
