2018 Montana 3811MS AC Sensors and Bedroom Slide Gap

We have a 2018 3811MS. Question 1) The wife and I have both been all over that RV with a magnifying glass and cannot find the temp sensors that tell the ACs when to shut off. Are the temp sensors now built into the thermostats instead of the little bulb sensors I am used to seeing in my older RVs? Neither the LR nor the BR ACs know when to shut off and you can hang meat in there. Question 2) The bedroom slide seems like it may not be all the way extended, but I have nothing to gauge it against. Would anyone with a 3810/3811MS be willing to pull a measurement from the wall to the inside edge of the slide to give me a gap reference? Thank you in advance to anyone and everyone!

For #1 I googled it and AI says

AI gave me the same info. The Dometic capacitive touch thermostat (OEM in your 2018 RV) has a temperature sensor built in to the thermostat body. I think there are slots on the top and bottom of the thermostat.

The only way I would check the slide is to feel the rubber seal that seals to the inside wall face. Does it feel tight to the wall? Or can you feel a gap?

When I couldn't find them anywhere I was thinking they were in the thermostat. The ACs never shut off because the thermistor is inside the wall with the hot air and not reading the cooler air in the room.

Looks like I may have to built some type of adaptor to space the thermostat away from the wall so it can get some airflow.
I don't feel any air coming around the slide, so it feels like it is sealing well. I'll find out when I get home from work for sure. We have a tropical storm hitting us right now. The combination of the wind and the rain will tell me real quick where there any gaps lol. It just looks odd being over 3" from the trim to wall.

Your slide looks pretty normal. What is missing is a very thin wooden cover that hides everything you see from that angle. The trim is positioned so it just almost touches the wall hiding everything exposed on the sides. Evidently, that trim has come off. Bottom line, yours looked perfectly fine. No issues.
