2014 Montana hydraulic slide outs not working

2014 Montana hydraulic slide outs are not working. I just get a humming sound when I try to open them. It has a new battery and is plugged into shore power. Any Ideas?

I’d test the pump motor and solenoid using this Lippert PDF file

I’d also check the resettable DC breaker that runs to the pump solenoid .. your 7nit is a 2014 and came with a 50 amp breaker which should be upgraded to an 80 amp breaker

The hum sound you hear is either the motor and solenoid can’t draw enough current across that old breaker ( if it has never been upgraded ) or you have a pump motor or solenoid issue

Also check you Rocker switch. I had that problem with mine last summer and it was the switch. I have 2 slides on one switch. Of course if you have more than one slide and switch then check the at ChuckS said as chance of more than one bad rocker switch is not likely.

Check hydraulic fluid levels too, low levels can cause insufficient fluid to be pumped by the motor. Also, assess the system for leaks!

Years ago there was a TSB to put the hydraulic system on its own 80a circuit breaker.

I agree with ChuckS. Humming noise coming from the pump area is most likely electrical noise from the reversing solenoid or the motor. Both can make a humming noise when power is applied and the device does not operate or is getting weak. At 12 years old either could be at the end of life.

The auto reset circuit breakers also fail, but usually they fail completely, not partially.

First, check that your connections are tightened on the solenoid, 1/2 inch, but do not over tighten. Sometimes the connections loosen from road or other reasons.
