We just went through two weeks of 60 to 90 mph winds here in Alaska. Lost power numerous times but managed to keep heat in our home. I had a very nice cover over my Big Sky which after almost a week and a half got completely ripped off. When I went out to recover it yesterday It did sustain some minor damage but held up well during the windstorm. What I need is help locating the exterior access door that's above the furnace. There are three panels there and the one I need is the top one. Looks to be about 14 inches wide and 24 to 28 inches long for access to the top of the refrigerator. We do not have anyone here in Alaska that deals in used parts for RV's so if someone in the club knows where a 3850 Fl is that has the panel I am looking for, please contact me. I do have the full body paint on mine, but any color will do for this application. Thank you in advance Steve

A photo of the door would be most helpful. The description of wide and long are to me are synonymous. Are trying to say 14” tall and 24-28” long? If so it kind of fits the dimensions of the fridge vent/access door. Also the make of refrigerator and the exact width of the door would help. 24”-28” sounds like a guess. Do you have a tape measure?

The opening is 13high and 29long As for a photo all that was left after the wind storm was a small piece and even t6hat was in shambles.

The opening is 13 inches high and 29 inches wide. I only found a small piece of the door that was there and the rest went sailing to god knows where. But it is the brown and god of the 2014 3850 fl full paint if that helps.

Now we are getting somewhere. Those measurements suggest you are looking for a replacement cover for a Norcold absorption type refrigerator/freezer. Can you confirm what lies behind the exposed opening? If it’s the refrigerator propane cooling system, and if the refrigerator is a Norcold brand, you may be in luck. Though Norcold is out of business, there are aftermarket replacements available. The aftermarket part comes with a new frame included with the door panel. Again, a photo of the opening showing what lies behind the broken panel, may be the last clue to help you.the new dot comes in a matte black and will have to be sanded and painted to match.

Here is a screen shot showing the refer access panel…

I tried searching for NORCOLD REFRIDGERATOR ACCESS PANEL and this one came up on Amazon…but I have not searched for your specific size. If you find a white panel - just spray it black to match.

That’s the access door typical of Norcold fridges. Here is a link for the one I purchased 2 years ago to replace one that blew off while traveling. Though is looks different, it fit the rough opening perfectly after removing the old trim frame. As I stated earlier, the door has a texture to it and cannot be painted until sanded smooth and primed to match your full body paint scheme. Here is the Amazon link:

That item does not appear to match the 29”-30” length of the OPs missing door. This is what I ordered 2 years ago that did fit the rough opening perfectly though the aftermarket item is a 1/3 2/3 split arrangement, it still allowed access to parts of the fridge’s parts.

I found it online, its a Dometic 3109349.065 Problem is none of the companies that have it ship to Alaska. Amazon lists it but they do not have it or when it will be available. It's not the first time this has happened when I needed to buy something. Seems companies in the lower 48 know they can grab some more money by overcharging to ship here when they are willing to do so. Gets really frustrating

Just thought I would let you know that I found the panel locally. One of the local rv shops had one they had bought several years ago and the person they had got it for never came back. The guy said they were tired of moving it all over their shop, so he gave me a discount, and I got it for 50 dollars. Thank you for all your help. Steve
