2005 3295RK where is the charger located?

Hi All,

As I'm in the planning stage of my new electrical system, I need to better understand the current setup.

From what I can tell, the older Montana's don't have an inverter.
You are either 110V AC shore power (or via inverter generator), or you are 12V DC. And when connected to 110, it charges the batteries. Not on 110, you only have 12V and not much runs on that. Fridge & Water heater are either 110 or Propane, too old for 12V.

Also, I don't think there is anything for the truck to charge the batteries going down the road via the harness, at least I don't see a circuit for it.

There is an Intelipower 9200 Remote pendant at the breaker box in the bath room, but I don't know where the actual charger is. Any ideas? it's not in the battery compartment.

You are mostly correct. The exception is when on 12V DC power, both the refer and the propane side of the hot water theater run just fine. We did for that for years with our 2005 Montana. Don't forget the furnace runs only on 12V DC so you can keep warm. Of course you need adequate battery power to run the furnace for extended periods. It sucks 12V DC!

There is a 12V charge line from the truck to the RV but is only puts out 5-7 amps and doesn't do much in the way of charging. If you want to charge from the truck going down the road you need a DC to DC charger. Do a Search here and you will find numerous Threads on this feature.

You have an IOTA converter and the pendant is the add on attachment that make it a smart multi-stage converter, The stock version only had one stage. Not optimum for FLA batteries. Your model (along with the 3400RL) has the converter in the bathroom *BEHIND* the power panel! The power panel is easily removed as there is plenty of slack in the wring. Pull it out and the converter will be right there.
