I have a 2024 3941FO 5th wheel that the dealer put 1 100ah AGM battery in. The box in this unit looks like it is capable of holding #2 standard size batteries. I want to upgrade to #2 200ah LifePo4 batteries. I don’t think these both will fit in my box I did see some mine’s (I believe it was WattCycle that has one) that might fit the bill but to be cost effective I was looking at the larger size batteries. To those that have made this upgrade where you able to find a new box that fits in the front or did you remove the old box and install the batteries on the floor? If you got a larger box did you find one that fits in the floor plan and where did you get it from?

I installed standard sized lithium batteries (group 27 ??).
I bought the battery boxes at my local auto parts store.

I put in a single larger battery and made a frame out of some 2x2’s for it to sit in and made a hold down to put over it made from a flat piece of scrap aluminum bar inside a piece of vinyl reinforced hose. I used a 1 1/2” furnco cap to seal off the old hose vent. I had all the materials laying around but it wouldn’t cost much to do if you don’t. These pictures weren’t taken to show this, but you can partially see what I did.

Super nice installation! A lot of planning is evident.

I removed the battery boxes, filled in the area with thin plywood (the rest of the flor was already covered), used 1" right angle aluminum pieces on each side (bolted through the floor) to restrict the side to side motion, and a tie down strap on the batteries to eye hooks in the aluminum pieces.
