6 characters too short?????
What is going on?? I have seen this message twice--Your reply cannot be posted because it is 6 characters short. Wait 30 seconds to repost. My original message is always posted -- SO what has been added to the MOC forum? Get rid of it.

Edit: I have never had this happen - so I tried a test - and Test1 did not work (got the warning/error mesage) but Test12 did work...but are you saying you got the "error" message when you tried to post the statement in post #1 above (which is certainly longer than 6 characters)?

False Error Message
I got the "..6 characters short.." message on 2 other posts. In both cases, the post was processed and not blocked. Just an unwanted message on a great MOC site.

Tim the minimum 6 character rule has always been there. I take it your original Post goes through. Do you see the "Posting Quick Reply" msg (you have to watch close as it is quick to appear and disappear)? Then the 6 character msg appears after? That sounds like the "Post Quick reply" was clicked on a second time.
You are the only person to report this, but often others have a problem and don't say anything until someone else reports it. I suspect it is something on your end but I will report it to the support folks.

I have seen a message that reads message too short, or to that effect. I added a period to a five letter word then it worked. Apparently five or less letters are too short.

We have always had a minimum character requirement for posts - mostly to stop accidentally posts from mobile devices in pockets. I'm not sure why you're seeing this however on longer posts... if it persists please hit the contact link at the bottom of the page and let the tech support folks know.
