Okay I agree there is a bit of room for improvement.
I have had a few "what were they thinking?" moments while working on mine.
But so far no worse than some of my SOBs.

I have to say it would be nice to not have to do repairs on the road as often as I do.
Especially while under warranty.

As far as schematic of all systems, I doubt if that will ever happen. Kind of like the schematic of all systems of a S&B.

The best one can hope for is the info needed is found here.

one would think to standeredise the assambly parts, would help cut costs, improve qualty. and make any repairs possible.
not as lets just run the wires this way today type of thing.
but more all wiring goes this way at this level. as per a set standard.
plumbing is set to a planed routing. not just as it happens to fit.

in my S&B some of my wiring is tighter than a guitar string

may be true, but wiring and plumbing do follow a set of codes as to placement, and routing.

Anyone ever see an inspectors approval on a rig? I have seen another model like mine. While the utilities are run similarly they are not near the same routing. Floor plan dictates more than anything.

I’m not saying Montana couldn’t use this idea but if they used them all there would be no MOC Montana campers would be so expensive no one could afford them. I’m sure they get hundreds of ideas on what people would like them to do.

Oh come on I wasn’t talking about a thousand dollar change. Just being a little more careful with exposed and visible expanding foam!!

No one has answered my primary question. Who are the buyers for CAMPING WORLD??? You can bet if one of them recommended something Keystone would fall all over themselves to make it happen!!!

Jim … we weren't talking about a $1000 change. I attempted to point out several replies up that 2 minutes each for a handful of "improvements in assembly technique" add up to tens of not hundreds of thousands of dollars when you're talking production numbers like Thor Industries puts out each year. Probably not gonna happen in production as we know it today. As for "the buyers" … at the CW I'm unfortunately familiar with, upper management with limited input from sales does the ordering.

Rich … you don't live in a different world. Working at Disney cannot be compared to being on an assembly line doing the same thing you've done for years and years over and over and over. You get numb … you loose the fire you had when you hired on … but the pay and benefits are good and it's hard to give that up. You get up each morning, take a breath, and keep clocking in.

Not all that different.I did the same thing in my job in attractions over and over again day in and day out. Fortunately We did not have to work there the pay was low and we had benefits carried over into retirement. We worked on assembly lines while going to school years ago which gave me incentive to stay in school.

James, you might be remiss in assuming they have engineers o r quality control, we are now in the process of replacing our roof of our 2014- 3582, key stone doesn't know you after 1 yr, we are replacing it with flex armor, by rv roof .com comes with a lifetime transferable warranty, rather a 1yr with that amazing rubber they put on

Jim, they're just lying to you; they'll never pass on your calls to those high-paid engineers and designers. I've always said both of those groups should be forced to live in one of their products for a week.

Well apparently I had some impact with this thread as a Keystone rep contacted me today!! Maybe asking about who their real customers are (IE buyers for dealers) caught their attention
