Fuel stop - Diesel
Has anyone stopped at Travel America Plaza I-80 Exit 214 Rawlins Wy for Diesel with a large 5th wheel? I have 40 ft. Do they have an RV lane, or just use the truck lanes?

I always use the truck lanes. Has the added advantage of being able to buy bulk DEF.

We use truck stops/truck pumps routinely. Significantly less chance of bad diesel. Use the truck lane.

You just have to be careful when filling, as I call the nozzles 'fire hoses'. It really comes out fast!

We also use the truck lanes. If the trucks can fit, so can we. Also like the fast pumps and bulk DEF. We have had too many issues trying to fuel up where cars do, not enough room.

Same here, we use truck lanes, and yes watch the flow. Go in the store before pumping and say you have a private sale or cash sale and they will turn the pump on for you.

We have a Pilot/Flying J RV Plus card that lets us use the Truck lane without going inside. Fill my diesel and DEF and move on out. I get a bill once a month and get 6 cents less than cash price.
Watch the flow rate on both diesel and DEF.

We have been using the RV Plus card from Pilot for the past several years. Use the truck lanes all the time. Fast fill-up and very convenient as we know that we can always get in and out without a hassle because of our length.

Another Truck Lane user here too, Pilot/Flying J approx 90% of the time.
While some do have RV Lanes, the placement of them sometimes leaves a lot to be desired. They should be the very outside pumps rather than the furtherest in.

When we had our Montana and F350 we always used the truck lanes and 99% of the time it was Pilot or Flying J stops. We knew we would always have plenty of room, could use our Pilot card right at the pump, have a 6' long windshield cleaning brush, and if needed usually have a space to back into for a break.
Now traveling in a 38' MH pulling a trailer (gasser) I have to find Pilot and Flying J stations with RV lanes, and they are far and few between. My range is better because I carry 80 gallons but I sure miss using those diesel truck lanes and how fast and convenient they were.

Pilot user also. Never had an issue with truck lanes and fuel and DEF is a good price - with the discount. DEF is a really good deal. You can fill the DEF tank ad about $2.75 a gal which is at least a $1 /gal less then buying in jugs and a lot less than the gallon jugs at the gas stations. And your DEF is full. I believe this also gets you the freshest DEF and fuel.
