I don't know why you are so concerned about a spider. There is near zero chance of a spider harming you. I had an aunt that was bit by a spider. She lived on for at least anothe 20 years. We live in the woods and they come in in the fall. We don't even bother to get up when one runs across the floor.

Helen makes sure the webs are not disturbed so spiders have a place to live.....However we had a guy bitten by a tarantula unloading a railroad car of bananas that came up from South America .His hand swelled up like a balloon and turned blue then black but he survived ok.We had several of them over the years and they are scary.

Rich, We use "Rodent Defense Mice Repellent". Laura found it on Amazon. I spray it around the bottom, tires, and landing gear about once per month. Also spray it just before I take it to the dealer, to prevent issues like you ran into. Will also now bring the bottle to the Rally in case your our next door neighbors again this year. #128513; Best wishes in resolving this issue soon. See you in 10 days.

I have had great luck with a product called cab fresh, you can get it online and also at farm supply stores. It is bags of something mice don't like, the plus side is it actually smells decent, unlike mothballs. It has a evergreen scent to it.

This is the first mice problem we have ever had. We set sticky traps all over the place last night and this AM there was no sign of mice or droppings anywhere. We have many cats in the neighborhood and if the rodent gets on the ground it will be toast.

Smelly drier sheets in every drawer and on the floor when the unit is in storage will keep them out. a semi old Michigan cabin preventive.

We got the Rodent the super sticky trap and peanut butter did him in. It had a patch of hair missing on its back so it was the same one that got away a few days ago. From the amount of droppings in the Rv we are sure it was the only one. We also found were it had been nesting. It was on the shelf on Helens side of the bed. We can resume packing for the FCRV Statewide Rally Thursday and the fall rally after that.

Had a packrat in the 5er in April. I had to get a big rat trap to get the bugger. Caught it and carried the body, trap and all, inside to show DW what a great hunter I am - she screamed and told me to get the (something) thing out of her house. She just does not appreciate my efforts! Those things are BIG.

Good job Rich and Helen. I hope you can put this behind you. NOW use the spray rodent repellent. I wouldn't use the repellent if I suspected I had a rodent in my rig, because would repel the rodent back into my rig.
As for insect spraying the ground of your rig, whatcha gonna do about flying bugs and spiders (spiders often produce a small web to allow it to catch air so they can venture on until they find a home and not always on the ground)? Other than possibly a flying squirrel I think the anti-rodent spray on the ground should work for rodents though.

We have never had a mice problem before this and know we got the critter at the dealer when the belly was down for tank replacement. We are now mice free. We spray nothing.

Found one this summer climbing out of my floor vent. Fat little fellow got stuck and it was easy to remove him. I started using a product called Mouse or Rodent Pruf I got at a hardware store. Four packets come in a box. Simply place them behind cabinets, near holes for water lines, etc. They emit a herbal smell and seem to work well. No problems since I started using them on a seasonal site. My neighbors on the other hand had plenty of mice and red squirrel boarders.

It turned our that the mouse we caught was a pregnant mama mouse. When at our FCRV rally we saw a tiny baby mice come from under the fridge it was easy to catch and dispatch. There were three of them total. That was over a month ago and we are clean.
