Tire Monitoring Systems

Are any of you using a TMS and if so what are your recommendations? Thanks

Yes, and I recommend them. Peace of mind being able to monitor all four tires when traveling. Father's Day present from my daughter two years ago.

Would not leave the driveway without one. It is a must have. Your choice of brands .

Currently using the TST with flow thru sensors. Had Pressure Pro before and it was fine but I wanted to be able to adjust pressure without having to take the sensors off so I upgraded to TST.

Learned the hard way. Blow out with the Marabombs on the rig last year. Got the Hawks Head system with the flow thru after the fact. We got lucky and very little damage to the rig but it could have been bad.

Based on recommendations here on this site, I have the TST 507RV. Well worth the investment to me.

Another TST with flow thru sensors. I take them off in the winter to preserve battery life.

TST has paid for itself - twice! The monitor showed 26 lbs. on an inside dual. We drove to the next tire shop and had it inspected. The initial inspection showed nothing wrong, but they pulled the tire to make sure. We had picked up a nail. The second time a front tire started running several degrees hotter than the rest. Inspection showed a defect forming. Blowout averted!

The only TST curiosity we've experienced is monitoring the Big Sky. After it is parked for a while, the TST reads the Big Sky tires as 10 to 20 lbs. low. A gauge shows that the pressures are correct and after hitching up the TST begins to register the correct pressure within a mile or two after moving.

We have used a TMS for the past 7 years--lot of great improvements in the systems since then. Bottom line--Don't leave home without it installed and working. Saved us to many times to mention--including 7 years of peace of mind while towing. It is amazing how many 5ers are going down the road without TMS and the owners in most cases have never heard of them.

I installed the flow thru last year after reading about them on this forum. It sure gives you piece of mind while towing when you can monitor your tire's temp and pressure constantly.

We recently traveled from California to Tennessee and purchased a toms flow thru system before leaving. We had three flat tires on first part of trip. Each time we were alerted and had plenty of time to pull off highway. We paid for system on first flat.
