Awning.. 'nother Question

Not sure what my 'sig' says.. but I have a '13 Mountaineer.. 295. When I extend the awning all the way, my door scrapes the awning. The only adjustment I can see is the black knob that allows (s) extension and contraction of the arms.. I've loosened those knobs and can't get the arms to move one way or the other.

I've thought of putting something like a good quality Duck/Duct Tape where it hits.. or some Eternabond. But, before doing that, maybe you have a way or raising the height of the awning to prevent hitting. On my older rigs, it was easy as the awnings were manual and had easy adjustments to take care of that. On this electric model.. I can't see the proper way to do it.

Retract the awning 1/4 to 1/2 a turn. This is a common complaint and the awning manual even mentions it.

X2 retract a little. The arms can't extend if there isn't some slack.

Retracted part and half way. Loosened the knobs and the arms don't move.. either in or out.

It seems you have two problems.

1. The awning hits the door. Per the manual, retract the awning 1/4 to 1/2 a turn as needed. Read page 4 of the Owners Manual https://www.dometic.com/5f4bb454-f85...04150276.fodoc

2. The awning won't tilt/slope. Pull down on the Top Arm Assembly to lower one end and then tighten the black knob. Read page 5 of the Owners Manual. https://www.dometic.com/5f4bb454-f85...04150276.fodoc
