Ca min is 14 inch on bridges. Max with no permit is 14. Odd? I will say this, upstate NY where we have a home, has 14 ft only in center lanes. That becomes dicy when traveling some areas. We have "back tracked" couple times. Set alarms off at tunnels.

Don't forget, too, that a repaving job under the bridge can raise atreet level a couple of inches, and with the state of the laborforce these days, the overpass might not get remeasured.
Exactly! We encountered one such bridge out west in a small town. The pavement underneath was fresh and looked to have been added to the existing asphalt below. I wondered if the signs had been upgraded.

Definitely something to watch for. When I drove a semi in college one of our straight truck drivers did a sardine can number on his box by taking the same route after a repave that he always took before and that wasn't in a small town that was in Indianapolis. Raised the pavement 4" and left the sign the same.

I just had a Penguin 2 installed on the front of my Mountaineer and I now measure 13'5". This is with taller Toyo HD tires.
