Re-auto leveling question

Just wondering, been "camping" in our gravel driveway for the past few days and wondering about using auto-level after a little settling. Do I need to pull the slides in before releveling?

I have done so without pulling in the slides since we tend to sit awhile in one spot. I haven't noticed any ill-effects from doing this either. I would imagine a lot of other moc'ers will tell you it's okay or that you can also just go into manual to do some adjustments and I have done this as well. John

Just so you know, when you touch or adjust the settings, after the first "Auto Level", you will loose the ability to have the RV return to its disconnect from the hitch height. Just throwing that out there, so when ready to hitch up again by pressing both the left and right arrows at the same time, you will get a message saying "Feature is disabled". So don't think the system is broke, like I did. I called Keystone thinking it was broken.

Other than that adjust the settings all you want. You just loose that feature, that's all.

To answer your question, I have made minor adjustments with the slides out. If its off due to the gravel, just press "Auto Level" again to re-level.

When we took ours to the dealer for some warrenty work and mentioned that the levelers pop when setting and that we have to relevel every so often they said that is normal. "Expect to re-level every two weeks or so" when setting in one place for a while and okay to do with slides out. So that is how we proceed while parked in our summer or winter location, re-leveling just a bit every so often.

I use wood pieces 2 x 10 x 12" under each of the six pads regardless what the surface is and sometimes sit for 2 months and often for 1 month as we are full timers. In 2 1/2 years have NEVER lost level and had to re-level. The wood also seems to make the rig more stable.
