Fresh Breeze in Vegas

Getting ready to go up to the range for work at the moment, trouble is that I can hardly get the door open to get out of the rig. My weather station says 29 knots gusting to 52. It doesn't look like there will be any target stands up on the range today. Like they say, if March comes in like a lamb it goes out like a lion. The wind is hitting us on the front right quarter and I may need to get a new slide topper for the big slide if this keeps up. If it weren't for the concrete picnic table our folding chairs would be in AZ by now. It even blew over the neighbors scooter. There several lawn chairs flying down the road and out in the desert bush...... Wheeeeeee!

YOU need to calm that down "before" we get there on Monday (tomorrow)!

Per Weatherunderground.....

... Wind Advisory now in effect until 3 PM PDT this afternoon...

The Wind Advisory for the Las Vegas Valley has been extended until
3 PM PDT this afternoon.

* Timing: winds will diminish this afternoon.

* Locations: Las Vegas... North Las Vegas... Henderson... Boulder
City... Summerlin... Nellis... mountains edge... Seven Hills...
Blue Diamond

* impacts: strong Crosswinds will make for difficult driving
especially along the 215 beltway on the west side of the
valley. In addition... unsecured objects could get blown away
and structures could get damaged.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Motorists will need to drive with added caution due to the strong
cross winds. Drivers of motorcyles... vans... campers... trailers...
and any high-profile vehicle should be alert to the danger of these
winds. Take action to secure trash cans and other loose items.
