Manual operation of awning & rear landing
2013 285rld.
I was just wondering how to retract the awning and rear stabilizer manually?
In case of a power failure.
The slides and the front landing have a procedure.

If it's a Dometic awning ... try this page 3.
http://www.campingworld.com/includes...rs%20Guide.pdf
Now I'm going to have to look for my auxiliary pull strap .........

Your post doesn't say what year you have, but for mine there is a hand crank in the basement hanging on the front wall. Actually there are two. One is for the spare and the other for the rear stabilizers.

The same crank for the front legs (which I hope you never have to try) also manually work the motorized rear legs. Good info on the awning, although I did not get a strap with mine.

I have a 2013 285rld.
Mine came with a strap. Reading the instructions that came with it is a little vague.
I know about the front landing gear, but I did not know the same tool works for the rear as well.
Thanks.

No strap with our used one either, although we did get two hand cranks. Good thing I've some light rope I carry - the awning's something to use it on.

I keep wondering what to say to my wife (who will be holding the strap) after I remove the screw!
