Don't Ignore Those Signs!

A Montana owner made a mistake!

Ignorance Defined!

This was on another thread here a couple of weeks ago. It's a wonder someone of the folks "helping" didn't get badly injured and you can bet the Monty suffered more damage than was done trimming the AC and awning in the tunnel and putting it in the ditch from their "helping".

If that's the road near the " Prez Heads" in South Dakota, not sure where he went from there, he'd be between tunnels??

There are several tunnels on that road that are just as narrow.

Yes, the use of that winch looked very unsafe.

It had to be Montana. It does look like Yellowstone. I almost had the same thing happen outside of Boston. There is a parkway or turnpike that didn't have warning signs before getting on. They resurfaced the roads, but didn't think of the clearance of the rock arches of the overpasses. Fortunately, a good driver got me to the side of the road and warned me of ahead and said to take the next off ramp. Also, he said, had a trooper seen me, I would have gotten a fat ticket. My stars were in alignment that day. I can't imagine all the roof damage, much less the sidewalls. Poor guy. Is he in the Montana Owners Group?

This summer returning from Colorado I did not see a warning sign that said 12' clearance. I have measured hooked up on level ground and I need right at 13'4". This was a detour where hwy84 intersects I 20 just west of Sweetwater, TX. As I exited under bridge I looked back and sign showed 12'. Either their measurement was way off or this was a miracle I can not explain. No damage. I try to watch for warning signs but I think I was a little road weary. I travel this road often and the detour put a new wrinkle in my path. I was back this way in September returning from elk hunt not towing and there was a warning sign. I just must have missed it. I can't help but feel like the Good Lord gave me a break that day.
