Blinking green light
Inside my fuse panel I have a blinking green light can't see it when panel is closed. It has lettering next to it saying wizard mode button I can't find anything about it in the owners manual . I would think green is good but still have no idea what it's all about. Any ideas?

We have the converter/charger that comes from Progressive Dynamics that has the "Charge Wizard" function. The button allows you to control the different battery maintenance functions of the charger manually.
Edit: I'm not sure of the exact model that comes in the unit (to lazy to go look ), but the functionality is explained in this manual:

The blinking green light shows the state of charge that your battery is in and what level the charge wizard is in keeping the battery charged.
The converter will keep your battery fresh but make sure your battery is in good shape by keeping the water levels in the chambers topped off with distilled water (if it is a flooded battery and not a sealed AGM type battery).

Tim, note page 4 in the link provided.. It indicates the state the converter is in or you can the set the state by pushing the button. Jim

Boy thanks for the answer I am not hooked up to shore power and it is blinking about 1 time per second I found the converter manual now that I know what to look for. I will sit down and read all about this wizard thing always finding new things to try and figure out isn't such a bad thing I guess. Just a little Leary of anything called wizard.

Tim, I liked the answer that was given....keep the door closed and you won't see the light. But, I'm the snoopy type. After years of diesel mechanican, and plant maintenance, I had to read a lot of manuals. With the Progressive Dynamics, what the green light means is: steady on, high rate of charge. Rapid blinking, charge rate is going down (battery is getting charged up). A blink every so often, such as once every few seconds means the batteries are fully charged, and it is in "float" mode, keeping things charged up. One thing you will notice on occasion, is the 12 volt lights will appear to brighten up. That is the "smart charger function" kicking in. The killer of batteries is "sulphation" (buildup) on the plates. Every so often the charger will "kick" the voltage up to over 14 volts, which "blows" the sulphates off the plates and helps the batteries last much longer. Loose term is; sulphates are to a battery what cholesterol is to your blood vessels.

Cool answer I have 4 6 volt golf cart batteries installed hooked up for 12 volt and max amp hours so I can run the inverter in the evenings without need to charge up off the gen. I plan on going to a solar system very soon so I can all but forget about the gen. Unless needed. Still reading up on the system needed for our needs. I boondock most of the time. Can't wait to try all of this stuff out when I get it all together.

Hello Tim, I had solar on my MH when we did a lot of dry camping. You need to understand the systems and YOU need to decide what you need. I designed, installed my last system. You learn a lot when you do your own work.

Thank you so much for the great link I will spend a lot of time studying this before ever attempting this endeavor. I also have a good friend that is up on the rv solar stuff. I plan on putting it in myself so I can understand the complete system I find I do much better if I put my hands on the deal when something fails I have a good idea of where to look. Thanks again you guys always come through with the goods.
