Learned something

Went down to the storage facility to install a new mattress yesterday. The batteries were disconnected and I knew that I needed to run the generator, so I fired up the Honda without hooking up the batteries. Pulled the slides out, cut the platform under existing king size mattress to install standard queen size mattress. Cleaned up and started bringing in the slides. The bedroom slide came in but the large slide would not come in, only a small beep was heard. As soon as I hooked up the house batteries the slide came in no problem. I figured that if the slide went out under AC power that it would go in the same. I was wrong.

Yup, most of the time the batteries are necessary.

There is a sticker some where that says the batteries must be hooked up for the slides.

The Hydraulic pump can draw more current than the Converter can put out, thus the batteries are needed. Probably took less force to put them out than to bring them back in. When we had the Auto-reset breaker issue, never a problem going out, but would stop numerous time bringing them in.
