Shower Head
2011 Big Sky with Radius Fiberglass Shower. The hand held shower head that moves up or down on the pope will not stay up. It tilts and wants to slide down the pole. I know a while back there was a post about changing parts in the holder and I have searched and can not find it, anyone know about this repair?

I put a black plastic hose clamp just below the slide on my last trailer. It was an automotive hose clamp that can be released. They can be found on some of the new cars. It didn't look to bad and worked well as we don't move it up and down much. My new trailer doesn't have the problem yet.

Took ours apart, cleaned and tightened everything up and it went back to working again. So far, so good.

We wrapped the hose around the slide rod about 3 times to help eliminate the downward pull, worked for us...

I remember the fix and I'm sure some one will be able to steer you in the right way. I think there was a fix on the manufactures web site. Also as well as I remember you take the slider apart and flip the plastic piece over. I have to do ours yet too.

The solution was to reverse the slide mechanism somehow. I assume this requires disassembly, but cannot remember if the entire slide mechanism needed flipped or just the internal rubber pieces. Seems like I remember there are washers inside, that when flipped over, started adding the needed bite to the rod that hold the slide up? Hopefully someone who has actually done the fix will chime in, since it would probably benefit all of us at some time.

I found this on the search function:
"We've since improved this issue you are having, but there is a quick fix you can do. Attached are the installation instructions. The wall covers slide off toward you (with force) and then you can remove the brackets to get to the bar, which then allows you to remove the mechanism. The thing we found that solves this problem is that you can remove and turn the rubber stopper (#5) in the mechanism upside down and put it back in. It will give it a new life and should solve your problem completely.

Hope this helps.

When I took mine apart, I cut a milk jug down and used it as a shim behind the rubber stopper.
