REAR LADDER
Today I had the rear ladder break at the first step of our 2013
3900FB. The ladder says it's rated for 300#'s. I only weigh 200#'s
that's 100#'s under what it's rated for. Has anyone else had an issue with the rear ladder??I know it's still under warranty but wow someone could really get hurt, lucky I did not. How could they make something that flimsy??

I've never felt comfortable using any RV ladder except to hang a real ladder or a couple of bicycles on and many folks will tell you they wouldn't even do that.

John since your unit is a 2013 that ladder should be under warranty. I'd be contacting your dealer and let them take care of it! That ladder should not have broke!

Never had a problem and I'm pushing 230 lbs but I always worry about it and I am real careful and every now and again I tighten all the screws because sometimes they work themselves loose

It is an adventure when you climb it, I just hang on to it and pretend it is a Carnival ride..
I agree with it being under the new Monte umbrella of warrantee coverage.

I know it's still under warranty, I already
contacted my dealer and they are ordering
a new one. I just wanted to let others be
aware of this and hope to keep others from
getting injured.

I'm 165 and I don't feel all that comfortable climbing it, but I do. It creaks and I just don't get that warm and fuzzy feeling. Like Jimmy, I check the screws often.
Lucky you didn't get injured.
