We have Splendide stackable. We had them before I retired when we were in the same status as you and the wife love them. Stackable or combination is a personal choice. You will find that members like them both.

We like Jay Bird have had them before and after retirement and love them. We hate going to a laundromat. I think that is the bottom line with those that have them as compared to those that don't.

Ditto the above, we have had stackables for over five years now and we just weekend and vacation. Our primary purchase reason was to keep from having to carry loads to and from a laundromat. Both of us have back troubles and DW cannot lift hardly anything due to surgery. Having the units in the washer means we also gained on average a day of vacation each trip (two daughters contributing to laundry loads). They are now deemed a necessity and we will not be without them. Room for the stackable units has been and is a primary factor in rig selection.

Splendide combo over 6 yrs. Don't use for 3-4 day stays. But anything longer we usually do rather than carry a lot of extra clothes. Much more convenient than a laundry, even if it is on site.

We have combo, like the convenience. Put clothes in, turn on, it will wash and dry, but won't fold

We had the combo for a year before we went full time. Used it then some, use it now all the time.

When we were camping weekends we did not have W&D. We rented and moved often during our more youthful years and can cope with most any laundry. DW seems to have become more cautious about laundry facilities at most parks for various reasons. Now doing Long Timing and like the convenience, plus DW likes the predictable outcome of using the same machine all the time. We now seldom ever use CG laundry. We have owned both combination and separate units and like them separate best.

We have a combo but from past experience if you get a combo from Splendide I would not recommend the vent-less one. When using a ventless combo you use water to dry and the clothes never really feel totally dry when done. Our first Monty came with a vent-less and I hated it with a passion. We found a used one that was newer and a vented unit. This one does a wonderful job.
