Also bring clothes for variable weather. Today it was a record high at 97 degrees in the area and this weekend the lows could be in the upper 30's. Throw in some rain and you need some changes in the closet.

Talk about packing everything, my wife and I are on Vancouver Island, actually in Victoria right now. We just spent 4 days roaming the various beaches just north of us near Tofino and Ucluelet looking for rocks. Not just rocks, special rocks as she is hosting the Mosaic rock class. It's her understanding there are no rocks in Indiana that would work. So among all the things I will be packing this weekend as we prepare for a 6 month adventure heading to the G and the Q are several buckets of rocks. Oh well, happy wife, happy life.
And packing the raffle items. And our Washington wine and cheese (and a little extra for 6 months). And smoked salmon for cocktail hour. Actually, I'm getting excited as we all are, and looking forward to getting on the road Monday.

Thanks a lot gang! Here I'm trying to lighten up the rig and you have to come up with the idea of more clothes and rocks! What a combination! We always have to save room for rocks for the DW to collect and put around the yard for landscaping. Most of them are carried in the TV however! Heading out on Tuesday and the "hitch itch" is already here. We're going through some pretty spectacular lightning show by Mother Nature and getting some really needed rain. Figures-- I sprayed the yard again today to get rid of some of the crabgrass and other junk stuff in it! Hopefully, I put it down early enough to let it dry and absorb it! Anyway, back to the subject at hand-- really looking forward to this year's Fall Rally and getting to see some old friends and meeting new ones!

Or some kind of white noise generator unless you really love trains.

Come on guys, quit scaring the new troops! Yup, there are trains in the area and what would an RV Park be without some trains, planes or interstate traffic? It would not be an RV Park that's what! You'll get used to the trains by about Friday and when you don't notice them, then you'll wake up and wonder what the silence is! I think the worst night is on Thursday and that is the night a specific engineer loves to lay on the horns on his big locomotive and keeps it going all the way through town. Maybe we'll be lucky and that guy will have retired over the past year! Take care folks and see you in 13 days!!
