Decals - Going...Going....

Almost gone. We found a local RV service outfit in Sacramento that will remove our old peeling, faded, and ugly decals. Including removing the adhesive that has been giving us fits. Total price for removing all the decals --- $350.

We will keep you posted on the quality of the work. This outfit was recommended to us by 2 different and competing RV Dealerships. We interviewed the main man yesterday while he was looking over our Monty. They are scheduled to come to us this coming Monday and either complete the job that day or Tuesday morning.

We are not planning on replacing the decals. (Don't need to go through the peel, etc., twice. We are thinking about a mural on the front cap and some stripes painted the sides.

More on this later.

If I had found someone to remove my decals for $350, I would have jumped on it. The adhesive is the worst part of the process which makes one wonder why they peel at all!!!

What a deal! Wish I were out where you are, because removal in our area can cost nearly 4 figures.

Can you either PM or post the name of this magician? I'd pull my Monty to Sac for an under $500 removal. Two businesses near here want $100/hour to remove decals.

We had Camping World of Madison WI. remove the front cap mountain scene. Turned red, very ugly. I am not planning on replacing the decal. All the other decals look good. will remove one at a time. I am very happy with the quality of service from our local dealership. Thanks.

I like your plan. No more graphics by Keystone! Make your Monty unique and it will be great! I will begin the same process soon-remove the worst ones as they get bad. I wonder if Keystone even cares that this does not do them any good???

I got some decal remover (liquid) from a sign shop, made the glue removal pretty easy. Still takes a while to do the job. Running pretty much nekid now except for something I had put on the front cap. Would post a picture but am computer challenged.

I have some decals that are really bad. I have a guy who will come to my house and he is cheap labor. I like the idea of only removing one or two at a time.
