BUCKET LIST

Yes, the WMS have bucket lists and most of them concern the Rally. Although everything is shaping up nicely, there are STILL a number of things that NEED to be done. We’re not procrastinators, so we have a hard time understanding folks who are. There isn't a heck of a lot of time left, so WE need to get the following things done NOW.

There are a LOT of people doing a LOT of work for EVERYONE to make this a great rally, so DO YOUR PART & PLEASE GET THIS STUFF DONE (we would certainly appreciate it):

QUESTIONNAIRES - We can spell this one in our sleep because we’ve asked to have these completed & sent in soooooo many times! 96.5% of you have sent in your questionnaires but it’s the other 3.5% of you that we are having a problem with. Tom NEEDS these questionnaires so he can complete the Rally Booklets. They have to be set up and then printed and that cannot be done overnight. So if you have not sent in your questionnaire in yet PLEASE do so ASAP! The questionnaires were sent out over a month ago, so if you did not receive one or deleted it thinking is was junk mail please let us know and we can send you another one. Please include a picture so we know who we are writing about in the booklet also! STILL HAVE 4 QUESTIONAIRES MIA!!!

FOOD EVENTS - A LOT of people are going to be hungry, and you can't expect a FEW folks to FEED EVERYONE. Here are the counts for signups so far for the Food Events with the percentage of the total attendees attending the Rally:
Meet and Greet—-- 76 = 65%
Potluck Breakfast--- 60 = 50.8%
Potluck Dinner--- 77 = 66% Need some help with setup and cleanup
Wine and Cheese--- 48 = 40% STILL Looking for help with setup!
Chili/Soup Cook-off--- 24 competitors/14 Go With-Need some helpers with setup and cleanup = 33.3% NOT MUCH CHANGE still need more participants!

So Ladies and Gentlemen(we know some of you men cook too), dust off your cookbooks & sign up to bring, TO EACH FOOD EVENT, one of your favorite dishes. Walk into a food event with empty hands & you WILL be noticed - & NOT for your good looks !

TIARA DINNER—--105 = 87.5% If you are going to go to this it is FREE-no cost to you, put on by Tiara RV but they need a head count for the preparation of the meal so if you are going --SIGN UP!

AMISH DINNER--- 160 individuals is the limit for the dinner BUT if you would still like to go- SIGN UP and your names will go on the Waiting List and if someone decides not to go you still could enjoy this outstanding meal put on by a real Amish family at their farm.

T-SHIRT SIZES - as Carol mentioned (at Jim’s urging), No Size, No guarantee what size you will get for a T-shirt (we could find some Youth Smalls to hand out). It will help Jim tremendously (as he’s the one ordering these) if you get them to Carol ASAP so he has enough lead time to order and receive them before the Rally. Estimated T-shirt responders is 96.5% so far with about 113 signing in on this requested response! DO WE NEED TO CONTACT EACH PERSON THAT HAS NOT GIVEN Carol YOUR SIZES YET? Closing date was September 1st and if you did not contact or post on Carol's T-shirt threads you will have to settle for what size you get in you goodie bag on the 25th--SORRY!

Payment Time has closed-- If you did not pay your fees you are out of luck and your name has been dropped from the attendee list along with your reserved site at the fairground!

RAFFLE AND DOOR PRIZES-- This is an important part of the Rally since they basically pay for the Rally itself. Don't forget to hit up that dealer you bought your unit from for door prizes and/or raffle prizes. There are several threads here on the Fall Rally section about this very subject and it is important we all work on this. The more prizes we get the better chance YOU will go home with a raffle or door prize too. So hit up that dealer, CW, or any company you feel contributes to the well being of you and your Montana while you are on the road! Hey, insurance agents, your investment counselor, banks, credit unions and even gas stations(Pilot/Flying J for example)contribute to our well being so hit them up and bring a "Mother Load" of prizes to the Rally! YOU STILL HAVE 26 DAYS TO HIT THOSE BUSINESSES UP FOR DONATIONS FOR THE RAFFLE/DOOR PRIZES! Thanks!

WHITE ELEPHANT GIFT EXCHANGE-- If you've never been to a White Elephant Gift Exchange you have a chance to join in while at this years Fall Rally. Bring up the thread on it here in the Fall Rally section and read what it's all about, then sign up and come and enjoy a fun filled event! We only have 60 units participating 50%.

FACTORY TOUR-- 88.8%-- 13 slots left for the Factory tour! This tour will show you how your unit was put together from the frame up. It starts with the bottom of the frame and wheels facing the ceiling in the factory and ends with walk-throughs of all the units in the Montana line including the new units being release the coming year! No better way to see what you have under you and what you are towing behind you!

COMPUTER CLASSES-- The computer classes have been announced and they will be on Thursday and Sunday of this years Rally. The Thursday class is at 2:30 in the small tent and will have Adding Photos to Your Posts on the Forum as the subject. The second computer class is on theSunday of the Rally at 2:30 in the small tent also. This days class will have the subject of Social Media and Staying Connected with Family and Friends while on the Road. We won't say the instructor is an expert on computer usage but she sure knows what she is talking about and has a fun time teaching the class. If you are interested in taking one or both of the computer classes sign up for them under the Computer Classes thread under the Fall Rally Postings.

UPDATE- 8/28-- If you are going to sign up for either of the computer classes, DO IT because on Sept. 10th the classes will be cancelled per the instructor for non participation if there are not enough signups!!!

UPDATE-8/30--Fall Rally Registration(check in for the Rally) on site will be conducted in the BIG TENT on Wednesday, September 25th from 9 AM to 4 PM. After you have checked in at the fairground office you will be ESCORTED to your Fall Rally assigned site. Park your unit, set up and THEN come to the Big TENT and register with the WMs and their helpers.

UPDATE-8/31--For those arriving early for the Rally and/or staying late after, the site fees @ the fair ground are $28.89/nite + taxes. These fees are paid directly to the fair ground upon arrival/extension.The fair ground will also have a copy of the Site Assignments & will direct you, with the help of the Site Escorts, to your site provided your site is open from the previous rally.(If not you will receive a temporary site and will have to move to your assigned site once it is open. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO STAY IN YOUR TEMPORARY SITE AND MUST MOVE TO YOUR ASSIGNED SITE!!!.

UPDATE 9/11 days till the big show begins! We're not posting changes to the %'s on the meals or other sign ups BUT if you have not signed up for the meals, factory tour, or whatever DO IT TODAY! Looks like we still need sign ups for numerous meals especially the Chili/Soup cook off and the Potluck Breakfast. We have 5 different events on the schedule that you need to bring some type of food to so check out the different postings under the Fall Rally Section that you are presently in and sign up to bring something. Thanks and see in on the 25th!!

UPDATE 9/19-- To those already at the fairgrounds awaiting the Rally start--Please check out the UPDATE post dated 8/31!! If you are currently on Harley Hill in your temporary site assigned by the fairground prior to the Rally and your assigned site is not the site you are located on-- YOU WILL HAVE TO MOVE TO YOUR ASSIGNED SITE ON MONDAY TO OPEN THAT SITE TO THE ASSIGNED ATTENDEE!

Part of the WM's job is to make SURE things get done, and we’re going to KEEP UP the HARPING until these items are finished. There's nothing worse than a grumpy WM to start off a Rally, so make us SMILE folks !

THANKS FOLKS and we hope to see you at the Rally and all of the events scheduled for your enjoyment!

WMs

Thanks Ron!

I have HORRID connectivity here, had to reset the router 15 times or MORE yesterday. Not sure this will get posted before we go down again!

SOOOO, Folks, get those tshirt sizes posted.

And, ohhh, if anyone happens to be interested in the computer classes, I have a thread on that too. Right now, not many are signed up, which means we will have lively very cozy and personal classes. Also means I won't have to print many handouts! The class choice voting will continue till September 1st. Yep, that deadline!

And, as soon as CountryGuy and I get somewhere where we can stay connected for more than 1 minute, our rally fee will be on the way!

OHH, and, here is what I am going to do. I am going to open each and every post and see if I have signed up for stuff, and review each and every offering of fun and surprises. May I suggest you do the same.

NOW, quickly post, my connectivity has outlived itself! WOOT!

Ohhh, you are going to have to find the links/threads yourself, cause, I don't have the connectivity to do it for you. Sorry.

If anyone knows John Devall could you please contact him and ask him to get his last 8 digits of his serial # and cell phone info to me for the Keystone Tech event. I've email twice and PMed twice with no success. Keystone is nice enough to do this and only asks that we provide those two things.

Rondo, thanks for the reminder to us all. We have a lot of activities and it's easy to forget one.

$$$ Coming down to the wire folks! $$$

SEPTEMBER 1 is the magic date - the doors close after that, no matter how many or how few have paid. No FEES of any kind or REGISTRATION will be accepted at the Rally - we don't carry around a cash register, can't cash checks, nor can we pull a site out of our hats for you. The books are CLOSED after 9/1. If you KNOW you are not coming, then PLEASE be cordial enough to let us know NOW (by emailing 2013MOCFallRally@montanaowners.com with your cancellation) so we can wrap things up, get the sites paid for, order the T-shirts, clear the waiting list, & a bunch of other stuff that has to be done...

This procrastination is also, from my understanding, making it EXTREMELY difficult for the MOC Admins to wring out the site assignments. I have also been warned that, primarily because of the the sheer # of rigs, cancellations, registration/waiting list swapping, & non-payment (I WOULDN'T want the job!) BUDDY SITES will for the most part be non-existent.

Like John Kohl has said - I'm just the messenger, so save the eggs for Easter...

Your WM - Jim

Note: Computer classes have been cancelled. If you have a specific problem with computers and this forum, look me up during the rally, I will try to help one on one.
