Our New 3150RL

What a time we have had making our minds up on which model to buy. We narrowed it down to two models (3100RL & 3150RL. We chose the 3150RL for the big bath and bedroom area. This has been a tough decision but we finally made it. We also chose to buy from Lazydays in Fla. we wanted to purchase locally but the $9,000 difference in price made our decision. The local dealer say they won't work on it if we don't buy from them. To me the is a poor way of during business and really makes you wonder about their business . Anyway we will be pulling out this Saturday headed to Tampa to pickup our new 2013, 3150RL. Any help from anyone on the walk through what to look for would be a great help. Thanks for all the past help from the club, it's the greatest

Download the PDI check list from the home page and then make them take their time and show you everything step by step. Look at as many things as you can that aren't on the list. In our case I found a cracked landing gear leg. Then, if you can, stay a night or two at their campsite so you can get back to them immediately with any questions or issues.

Congratulations on the new Montana. As you can see, we just picked up a new 3100RL on May 28th. Nice.

If you go to the HOME page, scroll down to find the PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection) lists, then scroll down to find them, they will guide you as to what to look for when you pick it up. Look LONG and HARD and even when you do, you will find things later.

Congratulations on your 3150RL, we love ours and hope you will too.

I bought mine from a dealer that is 3 hour drive away, I called one closer and asked if they would do warranty work on it and the first question was DID YOU BUY IT FROM US. Needless to say, they said no, they won't warranty it.

But, we have not had anything major wrong with ours, and now that its 3 years old, we still haven't had any big issues. Yeah, the shower leaks in the corner by the steps every once in a while, a little caulk and that's fixed.
Had a leak in the back where the fresh water fill is, caulk failed allowing rain inside onto the carpet. Just some little things.....

Good luck and enjoy.

Congrats on your new Monte. We bought the 3100 and have really enjoyed it. I am sure that you will enjoy yours also. See if there is a CW near you and ask them about dong warranty work. Ours came from Lazydays also, but our CW is taking care of us. They aren't real happy about it, but they are helping out so far. Good luck and enjoy.

Sounds like you got a great deal. Check out that rig carefully before you leave LazyDays.

Congrats - we love our 3150 and haven't had any big issues and only a few small ones. We are very lucky to have a local dealer who services ours without question, even warranty work....

We have the same issue with the dealer here in our location saying that they will only do 3 warranty repairs on our rig because we didn't buy it from them. We purchased our first Montana from them but our second one we decided to go with our cousin in Arizona because we got a much better deal and if someone was to get the money we would just soon keep it in the family. If you call Keystone they will tell you that it's up to the dealers and they can do what they want. I find this to be bad service because who's to say our third unit wouldn't be purchased locally. Anyway good luck with your new rig.

We will be leaving this week for Lazydays tp pickup up our new 3150Rl. I have a question does the PDI happen before the signing of the deal or after. I would like to go over everything with a tech before I sign just in case we find a major problem . Someone jump in hear and let me know how all of this works.

We didn't have a PDI since we bought out of state and they delivered it to us. But I think if I was picking it up personaly, I would want to do the PDI first before signing.

Without question, DO THE PDI BEFORE YOU PAY FOR THE UNIT. The dealer is motivated by money. Once they have your money, repairs are at THEIR convenience.
Best of luck with your new 3150RL. We are happy with ours.

Well our dreams are dash again . We were getting ready to make the trip to Tampa Fla to pickup our new 3150RL when the phone ring. It was our salesmen at Lazydays with some bad news. Someone had let the awning out and the wind blew it into the side of the 5th wheel leaving damage on the side of the trailer. The salesman said he just didn't feel right selling me that unit with all the damage that has to be repaired. Well I guess we will keep what we have now until we find something else. That was the only 3150 he had on the lot.

Shop the Internet. Lots of dealers out there looking for customers. One of our members (username HOOK) sells Montanas at Camping World. Maybe Larry will chime in. Don't give up! The 3150RL is a nice rig. Good luck!!

Found another 3150RL at Camping World in Columbia, MO. They were sure nice an offered a super deal. The only problem is that they are about 1000 miles from us.
How many of you have purchase from Camping World and long distance away.
Please give me your advice on this.

We purchased our 3150 through the COSTCO Auto Buying program and the closest dealer was Camping World in WA and we live in OR. We ordered our unit through them and they delivered it to us. We did not have a PDI or training but all in all it worked out fine. We are very lucky to have an excellent dealer very close to us that took care of the minor warranty things without question. We did save quite a bit by going that route.

We bought ours from Camping World in Harrisburg PA, very easy, simple purchase. And we were told if we have any issues, we can go to any CW of repair, DON'T BELIEVE THIS if they tell you this...
