Furnace no run

Hi All,

2014 3150RL with a Dometic Comfort Control Center 2.

This morning turned on the LP furnace. The A/C fan came on. No furnace. Did the thermostat reset per instructions. No change.

It worked a month ago, but not now? Any ideas? Put it on AUTO, same thing.

Was 36 degrees outside this am, temp set @ 70.

Thanks Jim

Check your propane, turn burner on stove to see if it has air in line

Water heater works, stove works, If you are out of LP the furnace blower will run but not ignite, after 3 attempts to light it will go into lock out and only the fan will run. Then you have to turn furnace off, and re-try.

The furnace fan never runs, instead the a/c fan runs.

There is a re-boot you might have to do, but if we can't come up with that, kill the power to the A/C: Breaker, pull the fuse to the furnace, this is a hard reset, or re-boot, it may work then, I doubt the fan is bad with your new unit, BUT, you never know.

OZZ,

Turned battery switch off. Back on. Removed fuse to thermostat. Wait 60 sec. Re-install fuse. Kill breaker to A/C zone 1. Set thermostat to furnace. Nothing. Turn breaker on to A/C zone 1. A/C fan comes on.

Turn everything off. Remove furnace grill. Cut control wires to furnace. Connect 2 blue thermostat wires. Furnace runs and heats as normal. Re-connect control wires. No change.

Thermostat set to control furnace, A/C fan runs. Problem not furnace. Thermostat or control board in A/C defective?

Know how to check either? Have wiring diag for A/C and control board?

Maybe need some sort of reset for thermostat that is not in owners manual........

We have 2 elec heaters so will not freeze. 36 degrees this morning @ 9,400' with 50A service.

Life is good, furnace, not so good.

I'll call Dometic Monday.

Jim

Sounds like a trip to the dealer to have some warranty work done!

Cycle the thermostat to off..(No display) press and hold the + button first and without releasing it, press the On/Off button and hold. After a few seconds the display will indicate--, Release both buttons and then press on/off button to turn off the system. In the thermostat manual this is called the 'System Initialization' which should have been performed by the installer.
I don't have one of these, and am not familiar with your unit, so it may not apply, but heck, give it a try.
Good luck with it Jim.
Remember the old round Honeywell T87-f mechanical thermostats? Never a problem. Dang technology!
Glad you are having a good time and enjoying yourselves ..other than that.
Meanwhile, just turn the breaker off to the A/C unit, that will solve that problem.

Ozz,

In the owners manual I have for the Comfort Control Center 2 which is the thermostat with the round display it says:

System Reset procedure:
1 Make sure CCC 2 thermostat is OFF
2 Press MODE and ZONE together. The LCD will display "IniT" and all available zones.
3 Release the MODE and ZONE buttons
4 Press the On/Off button to exit set up.

Is the instructions you gave me for the CCC 2 thermostat or for the old 4/5 button?

It used to work properly. So the dip switches are set properly and when you cycle thru the display it displays what is connected.

If I do not get any help from Dometic today I'll get a mechanical stat and wire it in and deal it when I get home. I am in the middle of Colorado on top of a 9,400' mountain and the closest place for parts is 100 miles over a 12K pass.

The A/C part of it works fine on both zones. The furnace on zone 1 is the only thing that does not work.

Jim

There are installer set-up instructions and owner instructions, so they will be different. BUT I don't know which thermostat this is for, but it's all I have.
Ypou might try 'Google' and installer instructions for your thermostat.
Good call on the mechanical.
