Any Mattress Replacement Suggestions

We have a king size mattress(I call it a marshmallow) in our 3150RL. We would like to replace it with a queen size mattress, but don't know what would work best. If possible we would like to buy a standard queen mattress(instead of a custom made) that would fit in our monty. In order to put in a queen mattress we would have to cut
a few inches off the plywood base. I'm sure some MOC members have replaced their original mattress, therefore we appreciate any recommendations.

Thank you.

We bought the sleep number from Camping World. They are always running sales on their mattresses.

We use a top of the line Queen that was our guest room mattress in our stick house. When it gets old we'll go to a mattress store and get another.

We LOVE our Select Comfort bed. We ordered it from Camping World too. Sometimes I like my mattress firm and other times I prefer a 'marshmallow'! My husbands side can be set to a different setting than mine. Good luck!

On our previous 2008 3400RL we cut down the king frame to accept a standard size queen memory foam mattress. Worked great and more usable floor space also.

We had a king spring mattress in ours. About 3 nights max before you wished you were at home!

We downsized to a 14" thick queen foam bed from Innova. Got it at Costco. Just had to trim 3" per side of the plywood width wise.

I used a 1x4 as a guide held in place with wood clamps and a jigsaw.

You won't be sorry!

We brought our queen Sleep Number from our S & B and cut the plywood top down that was sized for a king. We sold the new RV mattress at the whole house sale before we moved.

CW always has good deals on the Sleep Number.

IOP the best mattress we ever have had.

We feel that we improved the sleeping quality of our bed by adding one of those three-inch foam (forms to the body when laying on it) and have had it for ten years of our 12 years of full timing. I don't remember the cost of it but it was a lot cheaper than going to the trouble of installing one of the new "popular" mattresses.

We have the Bragada Avalon king at home and the Crowne king in the camper. We've had Sleep Number, spring mattresses and latex mattresses; we will never buy another mattress type than memory foam, and never another brand. We also bought these for our sons when they got married. The renown Temper-pedic memory foam is also good, but over-priced. Check Bragada's web-site and read their history and comparisons. They are direct-sale only, delivered to your door; so no retailer-showroom profit is added.

The surgeon that did my hip replacement recommended memory foam. We found Bragada when shopping the internet.

Sleep number king size from CW was the only answer for us. Fully adjustable to match your body mood.
