Weepy weep hole...........
We have had monsoon type winds with contstant rain here in North Dakota for the last few days, wind gusts to over 40 with sustained winds of 30 mph. The passenger side slide window on the front is pretty much facing into the wind driven rain and is almost pouring in at times. Have towels bunched up in the window paine but the towels get saturated in short order. Had some teflon tape that I stuffed into weep holes on the outside. DW and I were out for a few hours and found the carpet below including the couch were soaked when we got back. Never have had that happen so bad before. Anyone else have that happen?

No, not rain, but dust when the wind was blowing 50 to 60 mph in New Mexico. These trailers are definately not air tight or water tight. Good luck, maybe someone has a cureall for you.

Weep holes on the outside are to let water on the out side of the windows run off so it will not soak under the window frame seals. Am I right or wrong?

Pulled in to Cabela's RV park in Sydney, Neb. in 2010 with a new Montana, within an hour we had a nearby tornado,70 mph winds in the park and rain. It was real nice to come out of the shelter and find there was still an RV parked where I left it. It rained all night with high winds, and we spent all night sopping up water in the window slots that was blowing in the weep holes.
I do not know if the seamless windows in the new Montana's leak or not. It would be nice to have a fix for this.

Are we talking single or double pane windows?

I've got double pane and unfortunately when the winds are extremely high and it's raining ... water pours into the bottom window frames fed from the weep hole slots on the outside. I've come up with no work around other than lotsa towels. We experienced this at Skiatook Lake in Oklahoma last spring when a strong thunderstorm blew through.

We just spent 9 months on the Texas Gulf Coast, where out rig was regularly hit with a combination of high winds and heavy rain. We had wet carpet not only from the weep holes but also from leaks in three slides. Since we've been back in Montana, we've experienced several heavy rains without wind and have had no leaks anywhere. I think the wind was the problem in Texas. We tried to stop the weep hole leaks like you have, with lots of towels--even tried to tape over the weep holes at one point (to no avail). I don't have an answer for you, but you're not alone!

Towels are not the answer. The towels act like a wick. I had the same problem with my stick house a few years ago and put towels in the window track and all it did was soak in more water. The weep holes are to allow water that accumulates in the track to get out. If the water is only getting in the window track I would leave it alone. If the water is running from the track to the floor then I think the best solution is to tape a piece of plastic to the outside of the window. You will have to dry off above the window where the cuct tape will go.

We are full timing in a 2012 3585SA and have been in some very heavy rains. Stays dry as a bone in ours. I'm not sure why you would stuff anything in the weep holes. How can they serve their purpose if they are clogged?

Heavy rain and no wind, no problem for me. Toss in a sustained wind of over 30 with gusts to 45 with rain for over 12 hours, then you get a problem with the sideways rain coming through the weepholes and overflowing the window "channel" and flowing down the wall. After a google search I found a place that sells covers for the weep holes for a buck and half. Think I will order some.
Rain stopped late last nite which was good. This afternoon, brought in a de-humidfier and cranked it up. Carpet and everything else dried pretty quick after 6 hours.
