Montana Model 3402
We've been looking at a Monty 3402 and thinking about doing a little trading. I'm wondering if any of you guys here on the MOC have had any dealings with one. Thanks.

Yep we have a 2012 3402RL and LOVE it! big living room, big bedroom with King size bed,2 vanity's and sinks one in the bathroom one in the bedroom, 6 point Auto level system, nice little office/computer area,4 door fridge and TONS of cabinet space,we fulltime in ours and still have not used all the cabinets and a big back window to see all the beautiful sunsets Great choice for us and all that for 59K hard to beat! Only regret is I could not afford the Big sky pkg with the nice body paint and maybee G614 tires

Everything Jimmy said. We haven't even come close to filling all the storage. We like the angled entertainment and desk area as well. We're glad we bought when we did, we like the hickory wood. The big living room is great. We've had eight kids on the floor on movie night, while the adults can sit comfortably.

We really like ours too! All of the "neat stuff" inside and out for the gadget enthusiast (like me) and my wife really like the "decor". More storage than we will ever need also.

We bought 3402 last October and went to Texas and Arizona for the winter. Anyone having problems with roof (we have staples working loose) and when we use awning fully, the door rubs. Anyone else had these problems. We have contacted Keystone as we think fixing should be covered by warranty.....still working on this. Any suggestions? Keystone we extend the awning and then retract so door doesn't rub; but that doesn't seem reasonable.

If I had not chosen the 3900, the 3402 would have been my choice. Very nice plan.

Sometimes the door rubs on the Awning if it rains(or a little snow) on it but not too often ,you can buy a little roller for the top of the door to solve that problem which I will probally do this fall other than that the only problem I have had is a broken toilet lever and Keystone got me a new toilet quick

Our 10 -3455 has a roller on top of the door for that reason.

If you roll the awning in a couple of inches, it will do the same thing.

Talked to Dometic today. "Sam" in Customer Service suggested taking pictures and having Camping World send warranty request to Dometic Warranty Department. Keep fingers crossed. Adding a roller will not solve problem as that, too, will cause wear to the awning and eventually will cause failure (hole). Best solution is to raise the awning. We've never had rain "pooling" as have rarely used the awning. Didn't have any rain this winter in either TX or AZ. Need to use in WI.

Just 1/4 turn does it. Valance flap still hangs.

We are really enjoying our 2013 3402. As with anything there are pros and cons. Here we go.
Pros Pass thorough cupboards (doors on both sides)
Big Living room
Lots of storage
Big closet at door entry (that sold us)
Ability to change couch and recliners locations is a nice change sometimes
King Bed is great plus shelves on each side is nice
6 jack auto leveling is very easy and really stabilizes the trailer
Double Frig is great
Desk for lap top is a must
Having choice of hot water on electric or propane has save on propane cost
Don't forget there is a secret cupboard in the bedroom closet
Cons
I like a separate door for outside taps, instead of lift big slam latch.
Need to put 90 degree elbow on city water hook up.
I put a 90 degree elbow plus a short hose to make the black water flush more convenient.
Added a hand bar on screen door from Camp world
Have to lift electric awning a bit so door doesn't rub
Slide awning are nice but hold rain
Toilet room tight and vanity is to deep for easy use of sink.
I put a swivel on facet so water is directed more to the center of sink.
Overall we are very very satisfied. The only warranty work so far is one slam lock was defective and had to be replaced.
We would recommend this trailer.

Our awning clears the door just fine (a couple of inches). Have not tried in the rain or snow though. Also, no issues with staples coming loose.

I got the swivel from the kitchen department at Walmart. I used the swivel but replaced the chrome end with the bronze one from the trailer faucet. It helps a little to get the water to the center of the sink but I wish the vanity was set up different.

We have a 2013 3402 Big Sky and love it! Traveled this spring for 2 months and then spent the weekends all summer in Grand Lake Colorado and it is a GREAT RIG! Tons of storage and for us a perfect floor plan as we wanted an office area. Have a few warranty issues that we hope to get fixed at the fall rally. We are in process in tearing out that bottom shelf in the bathroom and will look into that swivel for the faucet(thanks martyperu but where is the secret cupboard?) Also added the hand bar . Have had no problem with the awning.

The secret cupboard is in the closet in the bedroom were the TV booster button is. There is a false wall board on the top right hand side.
I have added some 3M hooks in the toilet room and behind the door in the toilet room for towels. I got the Bronze ones through Amazon.
Have had good luck with them, put a couple on the outside wall of the entrance closet also. I also installed a cordless door bell. The chime box is mounted in the closet. Sort of neat. Company still knocks on the door but I ring it occasionally for my own pleasure.
Good luck with the toilet room vanity.

The 34302 is a great floor plan. The 2nd bathroom sink is useless but the medicine cabinet is priceless. Our awning does hit the door if all the way out. Bump the retract switch once and it is OK. 17 warranty issues of which 7 were corrected at last years fall rally and the rest will be corrected at this years rally. Build quality issues that seem to be the norm in all brand Rv's.
