Outside Speakers 3625RE

We just purchased a 2013 Montana 3625RE and was wondering if anyone has added outside speakers. I would have thought that connections would have been available in the storage area below. Any ideas besides Bluetooth connections.

We have a Sirius radio Boom Box with radio head that I keep in the front right storage area. Works great for us as an outside radio.

Glad this was brought up, was wondering this myself. Can not believe the Montana does not already have outside speakers as the Cougar line does, I guess we pay more and get less right?

I think on a previous thread, majority of folks indicated they do not want them.

We have a 2012 3625re and do not see the need for outside speakers. We enjoy listening to the ocean, birds and each other.

But that is us.

We have outside speakers in our 5er. None of the speakers.. inside or outside are very good. but they are there.. up at the top.. just below the awning. I have not explored any of the electronics yet.. but, I want to find out if the Jensen stereo we have is bluetooth capable.. if so, I'd add some bluetooth speakers of decent quality in the storage area.. Yah, I like to listen to nature too.. but, sometimes, in a commercial campground, I like to listen to music and 'spit n whittle'. Well, maybe not spit.. but, I do enjoy woodcarving in camp during slow hours.

I can see if you boondock you might want to hear speakers outside, but, does anyone here really want to listen to your neighbors music in a campground? Not me!

Me either. Wireless ear buds would be better. Never use my outside speakers.

Glad we don't have them. Just another thing not used to be removed and trashed.

Ours is equipped with outside speakers up high just below the awning, but they are junk. If I was serious about outside music, they would have to be on the short list of things to upgrade. On our previous trailer, I was able to tie in to the bedroom volume switch and run wire down to the basement. From there I just had a small set of good bookshelf speakers that I would set out on the patio when we wanted to use them.

The way the Montana is set up though, I'm thinking you would be best off just running wire from the entertainment center rather than try to find it in the walls or someplace else.

I agree with most. No outside speakers. More times than not they are junk and just another piece of crap to get crappier with age and use and multiple rig washings. If I want outside speakers I use portable ones with a portable stereo or miniaturized Ipod but only when we know the volume won't be bothering neighbors or mostly we use ear buds so we only bother ourselves. I also prefer the nature sounds of where we're set up. In a large gathering, we're normally outblasted by our neighbors playing stuff we don't like anyway. We don't want to be regarded like them. It's the considerate thing to do.

Depends on if I don't want to hear the neighbors and want to drown them out?? Never had outside speakers before, but I guess we will now.
