Its really amazing how much of a difference living inland off the coast makes. At home in Hanover Pa it was as if the storm never came. We had steady rain and a few gusts of wind throughout the evening but not what I was expecting. I honestly thought the weather channel was just being dramatic like their often accused of. At work which is about 25 miles south into Maryland again there wasn't much wind damage but over 5 to 6 inches of rain fell. I work in an open pit mine and at the moment over 70 feet of water has flooded in the lower levels! It will take a couple of weeks to pump it out.
My heart goes out to those along the coast. What a mess!!
