MOCaravan

A beautiful $1M coach pulled in next door. There are 15 of them in a Motorcade. It is sponsored by their factory.
The idea is they travel for a set time and distance as a group. Alaska was one trip. This one current trip is just a 1000 miles touring NY state in 23 days with 9 stops.

My feeling is it is a Rally on wheels.

I am wondering if anything like that would work here on the MOC? We would have to coordinate it our selves. I would think it should start small as a State tour. The event could have a Convoy Master and individual Camp Commandants. The Convoy Master would coordinate the over all event and each Camp Commandant would coordinate their stop along the route.

Just thinking out loud.

Sounds like fun if it could get started.

John,
Can't help with the Million dollar rigs....... But we did try a small scale version of a "moving" Rally. It was a lot of fun and not a great deal more work. This group would have no problem coordinating such a plan. Have fun and go for it. Dennis

John, that sounds like a good thing. If it works for them it should work for us.

We would be interested in something like that also. Keeps everyone from bored or running out of things to do in one area.

John,
That sounds interesting. Do you want to plan one? If we are available for the dates selected, we would be glad to help out.

I don't wonder if it will work, I know it will. We were part of similar idea back in 2009. Then it was called a Progressive Rally and included four different stops. You can read about it here:

As always the limiting factor is finding those willing to get it started.
