We've been working hard getting our things condensed from 4 storerooms into 1 storeroom. Today, the end is in sight. We're down to two storerooms . . . but wait . . . one is full of nothing but three categories of things: garage sale items, "You kids come get this if you want it" family antiques, and donation items. We'll be hitting the road May 26th if all goes as planned, leaving only one storeroom filled with the furniture and household items we may need "one day," and most of our winter clothes. I'd like to leave with NO storeroom at all, but I don't want to start over from scratch and have to furnish a place when (or if) we can no longer be fulltimers.
Wow, good for you guys! I bet that feels liberating. Someone else just posted on here a few days ago that he had been storing furniture and had they to do it over again, would have gotten rid of it. The storage cost far outweighed the cost of replacing the furniture. Also if it's not climate-controlled, it may get ruined anyway. Just a thought.
Happy to hear you're almost there. Just wish we could sell this damn house.
