New Mod I could have done without needing

Had a new one tonight and almost had to ask for help. Our tiny cat (for those who know our cats it was Bitsy) jumped up on the fireplace while we were watching a movie and dropped down behind the TV. Movie watching stopped and trying to get her out started. We took the printer off and tried to reach back there, but she wouldn't let us grab her. We tried towels and a knitted scarf for her to climb out on, no luck. She tried the wires, but they moved and scared her. Finally pulled the towel out and went to get the screwdriver to take the fireplace apart. While I was gone Joyce opened a can of tuna and Bitsy managed to jump and pull herself out on her own. I will be making two boards to go on either end of the TV when it's up to block access to the back and keep this from happening again ASAP. Nothing like an hours unexpected cat fun!

Glad the outcome was good. If there is a space they can access, they will.

We had a similar experience. Upon returning from an outing, we could not find the cat, looked everywhere. Long story short, we had left a drawer pulled part of the way out under the bedroom TV. He had climbed in the drawer, then out the back and was up under the TV, asleep. We heard him moving around and he climbed out when he was ready, now the drawers stay closed.

I had THREE kittens crawl up into the space between the kitchen cabinets some years ago. It took me forever to get them out. Wish I'd thought of the tuna!

I just tell my cat if she continues to hide, she will be staying with Ozz and she comes running.

Hey, my cats have it made. They love it here, I only beat them on week-ends so they are mostly happy, during the week.

Don't let Ozz fool you. Sue makes sure those are the best cared for cats in any park. When we were in their rig, one of the babies was lying in the sun on a heating pad just so it would stay warm enough. That's going the extra mile. Mine just have to keep their coats on.

We also have the 3665RE. I seem to keep dropping stuff down under the TV and a chore to get out. No easy way except for the end of a broom and some duct tape. My dogs won't fit, but I can imagine your rescue adventure.

Get one of those folding pickup things at a drug store and you will never have to use the broom and duct tape again. It also makes it easier to pick up around your RV when needed. I keep mine handy all the time.

But the question on this thread would be: "Do they come with a cat grabbing attachment?"
