We had an 08 Mountaineer & that one was 12 volt. I don't know why the Montana's are that way.
We also had outside speakers on the Mountaineer........

I installed a car radio and inside and outside speakers. Not sure why Keystone can't on the Monty.

I have a small inverter that will power the Stereo, used it one time to bring down the Sat Dish after the Campground lost all power. Jensen makes 12V units, but they look more like a stacked Auto Radio set.

I've seen 12 volt units installed in some other brands of trailer and they look cheap and klunky. I'm very happy with the home theater system Keystone installed and will run the portable genny if I'm not hooked to hydro and really want to use some of the AC powered items. You could install a PSW inverter and run it no problem. $50K, heck I'll bet the $100k plus fivers are AC sound systems.

That puzzles me as well. We had it in our previous RV which was a bumper pull. I do miss having it.

I had a 12V outlet installed in the stereo cabinet and keep an inverter there so we can connect the stereo when we do not have power - works great.

Even on AC the AM band is worthless. We bought a cheap WM radio to use.

Hey now that's my kind of radio. There's nothing quite like a single unit that combines good music and drink.
