I called Lake Ridge park today because of the double booking for site# 270 according to Bingo s's listing. Stan and Emmy were also listed on #270 but the park records have them on site #265. I don't know the details of how they manage their bookings but Alice with whom I spoke says there was definitely not a double booking and that all the sites were assigned to Bingo and not allocated until reservations are made. Sometimes they have to change sites based on when individuals are coming in, etc. Don't know anymore! That's my story and I'm sticking to it....seems all is OK!

As all can see, the 2010 Virginia - Mid-Atlantic rally is looking to be an exciting, adventureous time for those who are willing to venture out. The drama has already commenced and we are still close to three months away!! . We still have seven or eight sites available at Legacy Circle for those who have been putting their decisions off. Bite the bullet, make the call, and we will see you there!!

Hello All - I have been watching the "rally" filling up. I see that we are now at 19 attendees. Is that a norm? I see based on the section we are being placed that there are 29 slots. Does this mean that the park will not be putting anyone else in the area we are occupying? Just curious. Has anyone else decided to go on the Barkley Mining tour besides the less than a handful (including us) that are going? I know I am asking a lot of questions but remember we are newbies and so this is all new to us. Looking forward to attending our first rally. Will there be any further detail on "activities" or stuff we are needing to bring. Like will we have "potluck get together meals" or are we each on our own for our meals? Thanks in advance for any input you "regulars" can provide. I am totally in the dark as to what to expect at one of these rallies.

Dave & Olga,
Welcome. Yes, there will be a pot luck dinner and a few other things going on. Bingo and Cathy will be posting these activities as the time gets closer. Nineteen as a nice number for a regional rally but we're always looking to add a few more. If the park needs our unused spaces, they will fill them. Many of us took the mine tour last year. Don't miss it. We're all looking forward to having a great time and meeting new folks. If you have any more questions, please feel free to ask.

I echoe what NCFISHER says about further notification on the activities. Regional Rallies can be almost any number in size. We have a good time at these. We meet new folks and get the latest from old friends we have not seen in a while and enjoy each others company. We are looking forward to meeting you.

Hubby and I would love to attend but the stars will have to align just right. Any sites available? This would be our first rally and it would be close to home.

Connie & Brian - Go ahead and make the commitment to attend. It would be nice to have another "new rally attendees" along with us. This will be our first rally also. Besides if the two of you sign up that will bring the attendance to 20 rigs. Sounds like a nice round number to me. What say the rest of you?

We have reached the twenty reservation number. I received a PM from Annem who we met at Topsail Hill in Florida a couple of years ago during our Thanksgiving trip, and they have made reservations. By my count there are 6 or 7 sites still available at Legacy Circle where the rally is. Keep watching the thread as activities schedule and sign-ups will be posted in the next couple of weeks. For those who are wavering on their decisions, we hope that you decide to join us for a great MOCing time!! Jim, Cathypot will not be the same without your rally mug, whatcha gonna do???

My rally mug has been recovered. I had to pay a hefty ransom though.

Bingo:

Unfortunately we are not going to be able to make the rally....I will be cancelling our reservation in the morning at the campground we are trying to get to get our South Dakota licenses etc before the National Rally and as this will be our first trip we don't want push too hard. We will see you in Goshen in September. Once again, sorry for the late cancellation hope you have a great rally.

We will be leaving the end of July on a trip, winding it up with the Rally. This is our first time and I was wondering what everyone does for meals. Are we on our own, potluck, what? Thanks!

We will be posting a rally agenda before the end of the week. We are planning on one potluck, one cookout, a possible breakfast, meet and greet will have finger foods. Other meals will be own choice. The area has many attractions so we want to leave plenty of time for all to wander on their own or in groups. We are looking at setting aside Friday for the caravans to the exhibition mine and Tamarack. Keep checking this topic and the schedule will appear soon. We are so looking forward to it!!
