Peter and Terry,
Welcome!
When you get closer to figuring out your arrival date, let us know we want to make sure we can find an assistant wagonmaster to guide you into your spot.
Will be updating the attendees list soon.
BTW, did you know there are only 58 days, 4 hours 3 minutes and 16 seconds until the start of the "Circling of the Montanas at Quartzsite"?

Hi simonsrf, we have prior commitments we are working around to attend, and will be there, but maybe not for the whole time.
Please everyone, call Teresa, Terry, as she has been called that right from day 1, so she's not being a snob by not responding to Teresa, it just doesn't compute with her.
I just wanted everyone to know as we have run into this before.
Thanks!

Thanks for clarifying her name, we need accuracy for the name badges.
BTW, did you know there are 1360 hours until the "Circling of the Montanas" at Quartzsite?

Hi Robbie & Alice:
Jim and I will be there - I did reply with our info on 9/7 but don't see our names on the list on the first page. Still not sure of arrival or departure dates, but probably around the second week of Jan and leave when we are ready...

[s]I'm working on updating it, but first have to train myself on new software on my new MacBook....don't worry. We have all the names, and will be updating soon.[/s]
Education completed; attendance list updated 11/20/09
Thanks for reminding us, if there is anyone else not on the list, speak up! We are not listing your attendance dates because there are so many factors to planning your trip, so, please, if you are coming, just let us know as soon as possible.
Please return to this site and check for updates.

Wow, we now have 43 more MOC'ers signed up than we had the first year we started this in 2005. We sure are looking forward to meeting all the new comers and seeing everyone that we have already met.

Are any of you planning a trip south of the border to shop for entry door windows? If so, Dave and I sure would like to go....we will be packing our passports.

Jack & Dave,
There is always someone going to Algodones for a shopping trip. Don't worry, it will happen, and they will help you find what you are looking for to buy.
Passports for anyone contemplating going is a good idea.

Doug, that sure was a smaller circle with only five rigs there. Dhenry, Golfnuts, Firetrucker, Hamrad, and rlwhit. How did our secret camping place become no secret anymore? There were several other MOC folks in the area of Q, but not in the circle. This is great.

Just think about the fun we had and shared with others, that is what builds a great club and great friendships.

This will be our first trip, and we are really looking forward to it. We usually go through here every year around Thanksgiving on our way to our son's house down in the Phoenix area. And every time I come through I tell the Mrs we need to come to Quartzite in January. So 2010 will be the year.

Dick,
Thankfully you shared the secret with the rest of us. We first came in 07 and participation has just exploded since then.

Los Algadones, Mexico is a great day trip from Quarzsite. It has sprung up fairly recently (last 20 years) specializing in medical services for Americans. Almost any common medical or dental procedure is available along with prescription drugs, all at significant discount compared to the USA. There is a fair number of tourist type shops to entertain you while you wait.
Two additional attractions for RV owners are: stained glass entry doors and custom painting of your satellite receiver dish. And the prices are reasonable even if you don't negotiate (but that is part of the fun).
As you wander around the Quartzsite circle, you can tell who has been to Los Algodones. Just look at the entry door window or the satellite dish.
The Quartzsite Montana Circle doesn't do a lot of scheduling of events. They happen on the spur of the moment. But you can be sure there will be a group (or two) who will want to go. Just be sure to bring your passport as the U.S. Border Patrol is a bit anal about the new rules.

GREAT advice! I did not even think about a passport, but sure seems like a good idea. I have never had one or needed one (I know boring!) so today got the pictures and forms and will take to be processed on Friday. With luck we will have by the time we leave.

Jim and Vicki,
We just applied for our passports the first of this month. We were told it would be the middle of December before we received them. We got them yesterday or the day before. Don't know how much difference it makes but we just ordered the passport cards. Main thing to do is just get all the paperwork done and sent in. I was surprised at how fast they processed.
Good luck.
