Don and Mary Ann, there is a place just off I-10 on hwy 95 called (The RV Pitstop) where you can get water, propane and dump you're tanks all in one place. It's on the east side of the street when headed north on hwy 95 coming from I-10

Thanks for the info. We don't like to travel to far with full tanks like many others. Like others new to the area any info is helpful. See you in Jan.19th.

Don & Mary Ann,
Oldguard's (Bill) information is right on. We can also transport water for anyone via our water bladders and 12-volt pumps. I think there will be several of them for use by everyone in need of more water. The bladders carry about 40 gallons at a time, when you go to town, you can fill them at the Pit Stop for $2.
Also, the honey wagon can be called, and they usually will show up at our site that day. They usually charge about $15.

Robbie and Alice
We are planning on coming to the rally again. Not to sure what date we will be arriving yet; it depends on the weather. Also decided you needed more assistant wagonmasters. So, hopefully see you in January

I just received a letter from the family that purchased my 96 Ford he almost lives there 50% of there time he wrote me this.
"It's already getting busy here in Quartzsite. I don't believe I've seen so many RVers here in the area before November, so it'll be interesting to see how big the crowd will be when you folks show up. I'm sure there'll be some place for you to stay, but it might be "down right neighborly."
It looks like long lines to the activities. I hope it's not to hot there this year.

Quartzsite is still kind of quiet but the park where we stay is about full today. I think the cool weather and high winds may have driven some people in and off the road.

I just checked the NWS report for Quartzsite, and it doesn't sound very cool to me. Of course, it was 15* here yesterday morning.

When you get into Quartzsite be sure and stop in to the Mexican cafe on Main street for breakfast. Be there any day of the week between 8-8:30 and lookup my folks Don and Lois "just ask waitress" they have their own table in the morning. He will be the one with his coffee cup laying on its side "that is the sign that she is a little slow on the refills". He made this coffee table [Link http://picasaweb.google.com/Drifty1/...05157379996018 ]. He could also give some pointers on places to check out in the area. If you happen to catch them tell them Drifty1 says hi. Have a great time when you get there. I might try to fly down for a few days around rally time.

Larry,
By main street, do you mean Hwy 95? There are two mexican restaurants in Q, and I had no idea the one on main street (the street that parallels I-10) served breakfast.
We'll look them up, thanks for the tip!

Robbie it is the one a little east of the Pilot truck stop on the south side of main street. This is the one that runs parallel to I-10. And yes they serve breakfast and its not bad. My link has a photo of the two with their great grandson.

Robbie,
I know you had mentioned there is an address you can give us to plug into the GPS that will get us to the campground...could you post that please? I am starting to plan my travel route and program it in to the GPS.
Thanks in advance,
Jack

The weather went from the high 80's to the low 60's. That in conjunction with 25 to 35mph winds makes it cool. It is now on the rebound.

Jack,
I just did a search in the MOC archives and came up with these coordinates...
N = 33.45.403
W = 114.11.800
Now, for all of those people without a GPS system or the knowledge to use the one they have, there is a simple solution. We will have a Montana sign on the Plomosa Road where you turn off, and signs to guide you along the way to the destination. Also, you can call me on my cell phone and someone can guide you into the circle!
BTW, there are only 76 days until the Quartzsite Rally!
