Welcome! You are going to LOVE your Montana! You're going to love this group of Montana owners, too. Oh--we do have a few SOB's (Some Other Brand) in the group. They're good people, too!

Not many things make me happier with my Montana than thinking of those tenting days forty years ago. I'm new to this forum, and still hanging around the wall, watching.
Welcome

Right!!! I often reference that progression to the transition from camping (roughing it) to Towing the house!

Welcome look forward to your posts

Our recent volunteering position at Arches National Park pretty much confirmed to us that we can NOW get rid of our tenting equipment.

The scene: We're camped in the volunteer campsite with full hookups. We're watching recorded satellite TV, the phone is hooked up, internet has a broadband connection. I'm stretched out on the couch in my pajamas. It is cold outside and the wind is ferocious. The furnace is set to 72.

Scene Two: Observed from inside Monty: Campers in some cases have 3 or 4 people hanging on to the tent so it won't blow into the next county. Everyone is protecting their food from blowing sand. The kids are hauling water from the restrooms to the campsites. The campfires that are still burning take a heavy toll of upkeep and watery eyes. Several tents bound through the rocks as if they were tumble weeds...Everyone has several layers of clothes on to ward off the cold. Hands are frozen from washing dishes in the cold campground sinks.

Scene Three: Honey, I think we can take the tent-camping equipment off of our list of storage items.

We came up the hard way just as you did Charlie and it makes the top even better. When people say that we aren't camping, we just look at them and grin. Welcome.

We don't call it 'camping' either. We call it "going out in the RV or RVing."
