Wow! bumpity, bumpity, bump is all I'm going to say.

We are at Scenic Hills RV Resort in Millersburg, OH, but it is closer to Berlin (pronounced BER.lin). what I nice CG. FHU and the CG discount is 3 nights for $70. Normal price is $27 a night, $145 a week - forgot the monthly. Sites are level, crushed rock drive through or back-in with pea-gravel yards. Some sites on the upper level have lots of grass. Ohio has the largest Amish population in the U.S. Tomorrow we are off to site see/shop.

Wayne, we were in that area just last week. Don't eat too much! That Amish food is delicious. We ate breakfast at Mrs. Yoder's Kitchen, which was very nice. (It's on the map) And we also ate at the Amish Door in the town north of Berlin(maybe Winesburg), also very good. They had a great salad bar. We'd recommend both of them.

Our campground was Evergreen Park which is one of the nicest parks we've ever stayed in. They have a sauna and indoor pool. It's near Mt. Eaton. The prices don't match the PA park though but it was fun once. It's so nice, we'd probably go back just for the pool.

That's a very pretty area. We were there just overnight but arrived early afternoon and spent the rest of the day exploring the area and enjoying a recommended restaurant. We put it on our list to go back and spend more time. Enjoy.

Oh,darn Wayne if we knew you coming we would have stayed home. We are in Minnesota right now. Would have loved to
meet you in Amish country. You are about 2 hours from us and we would have loved to reciprocate your hospitality that
you showed us in when we were in Kingwood 2 years ago. How long are you in the area?

Guess we'll have to go back, Sandi. We didn't make it to Lehman's but I spent some time in Sol's in Berlin. It is mostly crafts (a nice outlet for the local ladies) but that includes Amish noodles, jams and jellies.

Yes, Ken and Ginny, Evergreen is on 250, just outside of Mt. Eaton. I happened to pick up a book at the Amish History Center near Berlin that is about a Mennonite doctor who cared for Amish families for 40 years, "House Calls and Hitching Posts". It's pretty neat and an interesting way to learn more about the Amish folk. I'd recommend it

Another must see is Warthers Museum in Dover and Football Hall OF Fame in Canton

Hey! Y'all got me to extend my time by one more day.

Sandy, leaving on Friday, 3rd. Don't have reservations anywhere and AT&T cell phone coverage in Berlin, Millersburg and surrounding area is NIL.

Tomorrow and Thursday are touring days.

I really enjoy going to that area a lot. We’ve been there 3-4 times and all the things to see as mentioned is really good. I especially enjoyed Warthers carvings museum, It was an awesome display of talent that you would not believe. Here is a link in case anyone else is interested in seeing it.

Also whenever you visit the local Wal-Mart they have horse stalls for the their buggies, kinda neat to see that and then get on the forums and read about the overnighters stopping at Wall-Mart and all the bickering about whether it’s ok or not; rather entertaining to say the least.

Going to try and take that in tomorrow.

Today was drive through the countryside with the puppy, Miya. She goes berserk when she sees those horse drawn buggies. We even stopped at Waly-World today and saw the "Hitching Post," again. There were only two tied up today and a couple days ago there were several.

The hill sides and views are spectacular just driving in the country on two lane roads watching for the buggies.

We made it to Warther's Museum today. If anyone is near the Dover, Ohio area I highly recommend stopping at the Warther's museum. Earnest "Mooney" Warther was a genius with a carving knife. He invented 1 knife with 137 different blade attachments for that one knife. If you ever run across a pair of wooden pliers, he may have made them. He made a "tree" out of one block of wood with 31,000 cuts for a pliers tree with interconnected working wood pliers. At the Chicago Worlds Fair, Mr. Ripley was ther and he could not believe it. He offered to buy it and put it in the Ripley's Believe it or Not Museum and Mooney told him no, because he would never make another on like it in a 1000 years. He also came up with the paring knife.

His train carvings are to scale with every moving part of the train. His train carvings have been studied by engineers and found to be exact replicas.

Anyhow! A must see.
