Odd or Funny Road Signs
Seen this and couldn’t resist the temptation to take this photo. What do you see wrong with it? If you have any funny or odd road signs post them here.

Plus the use of the word "Park" is a bit vague. So do you park your vehicle on the childern as a parking lot, or do you honor the place where the childern are playing in a recreational park? How did the phrase go in the insurance claim, "I had to swerve a number of times before I hit the poor child".
I think the saddest, most pathetic traffic signs I have seen are the yellow caution signs on the 12 lanes of the north and southbound lanes of I-5 freeway near the border of San Diego & Mexico depicting a silhouetted mother in a dress quickly dragging two small children across the freeway lanes. True story, folks. It's very close to the border check on the U.S. side. It implies watch for fleeing illegal pedestrians running across traffic to avoid the border check.

Ok, we saw this in someone’s front yard. Yesterday afternoon we went for a drive and often when we do this we wind up on back roads or up at the end of some hollow. We didn’t hear any banjo music but evidently we picked a good day to take the photo; after all the odds were in our favor.

I have always been amused by the bridge load limit signs in KY. No picture, but they go something like this:
MAX LOAD 25,000 LB, - EXCEPT FOR COAL TRUCKS.
(Coal trucks don't break bridges? - or is there some other explanation that escapes me?)

Did you ever figure out the one that says-
CAUTION
SLOW CHILDREN
AT
PLAY.
Now, I'm not sure if you need to go slow, or?

Steve,
The word CHILDREN is misspelled. On the sign it is childErn. That's all I could figure out.

Yes, I caught that Dennis. I was making light of the other sign seen quite often in neighborhoods.

I think most everybody used to say "skid tires on pavement" or "stop, take off p..." when coming to a STOP sign. And Vicki doesn't like it when I reach over and put my hand on top of her head and turn it when I see a "Turn Ahead" sign.
Back in our vacation days there was a temporary sign on the PA turnpike while they were reworking an exit. The sign said "Turn here for Intercourse." Intercourse, PA, that is. I long have wished we'd stopped and taken a picture.
